THE NEW POWER GENERATION Celebrating Prince European tour Check out the info regarding The New Power Generation Celebrating Prince European tour: "Recent and Upcoming Shows April 20th-23rd 2017 Celebration 2017 @ Paisley Park, Chanhassen, USA June 30th 2017 British Summer Time, Hyde Park, London, UK July 9th 2017 North Sea Jazz, Rotterdam, The Netherlands July 13th 2017 Super Bock Super Rock Festival, Lisbon, Portugal July 15th 2017 VeszprémFest, Veszprem, Hungary The New Power Generation, a.k.a. The NPG, was the backing band of the artist Prince, from 1990 to 2013. They were last active in 2013 when Prince took a new direction and formed a new band he called 3rdEyeGirl. However, in 2015, some members of The New Power Generation reunited to work with Prince on his final studio album Hit n Run Phase Two. This reunited configuration of the NPG is the ‘mostly’ original line-up that shared the most commercial success with Prince. The line-up consists of: Morris Hayes previously also known as Mr. Hayes (keyboards and MD, longest-running Prince band member, MD of the Official Prince Tribute Concert) Sonny Thompson a.k.a. Sonny T. (bass) Levi Seacer previously known as Levi Seacer Jr. (guitar) Tommy B. previously known as Tommy Barbarella (keyboards) Kirk Johnson previously known as Kirky J. or Kirk J. (drums) Tony Mosley a.k.a. Tony M. (vocals, guitar, dancer) and Damon Dickson a.k.a. Damon D. (background vocals and dancer). The “core band” will be joined by at least 2 lead singers from later line-ups of the NPG and/or the Prince family of artists, like for instance: Kip Blackshire http://www.princevault.co...Blackshire https://www.facebook.com/...616/about/ Marva King http://www.princevault.co...Marva_King https://www.facebook.com/marva.king.90 Shelby J. http://www.princevault.co...e=Shelby_J https://www.facebook.com/shelbyjmusic The basic NPG line-up can be “extended” with: the “Hornheads” (http://www.princevault.com/index.php?title=Hornheads) and/or a high(er) profile name lead vocalists. As far as a higher profile name lead vocalists are concerned, some of the artists who performed with the NPG at last October’s Official Price Tribute Concert have expressed interest in performing additional shows with the NPG, depending on availability. These artists include: Bilal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilal_(American_singer)) Jessie J. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessie_J) and others Alternatively, QG Enterprise can also offer the following acts to be added to the bill (possibly opening for the NPG and doing a guest appearance with them): Love 4 One Another (= Liv Warfield, Shelby J. and Judith Hill + The NPG Hornz) Larry Graham & Graham Central Station Sheila E. André Cymone" Here is more info: http://www.qgenterprise.c...eneration/

Why no U.S. dates? I'm glad I'll get to attend the Rev tour. It's sorely needed. Thanks, Latin. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

They will be supporting Phil Collins at Hyde Park. Wouldn't it be great if The NPG and/ or The Revolution did Glastonbury. The one thing I wished Prince had done before he passed was Glastonbury; he would have killed it! No doubt in my mind that he would have given the greatest performance ever. Instead we have muso's going on about those navel gazers Radiohead's amazing (not!) Performance in the downpour
