They're really good. Saw them at Carnegie Hall (NYC) few years ago and they do a beuatiful heartfelt tribute. Plus Maya Rudolph is Minne Riperton's daughter...Minnie (Lovin' You) was a tremendous talent taken way to soon much like P. I know Prince shared his admiration with Maya for her Mom. Hope they do an East Coast run as well. Enjoy!

Maya Rudolph and her bandmate Gretchen Lieberum do a Prince tribute.... They were part of D'Angelo's touching rendition of SISIA on The Tonight Show after Prince died last year...

They started with Let's Go Crazy and ended with Darling Nikki, and the encore was Purple Rain. They did The Beautiful Ones, Delirious, DMSR, Little Red Corvette, When You Were Mine, Controversy, A Love Bizarre. In the middle of one of the songs they did a bit of Nasty Girl. There were a few less common songs. Purple Music (which they dedicated to all the Prince nerds) was great to hear. As were Sister, Head and Jack U Off. Toward the end of the show they did Cool. They would "stop one the one" and play snippets of TV theme songs. Then restart playing Cool. One of the times she told a knock knock joke. Knock Knock. Who's There? Good. Good who? And in her best Prince voice Maya Rudolph said "Good God!" and the band kicked back in.
