Today has been a very difficult day. I've felt jittery, nervous, upset all day. It was just a few minutes ago that I realized that today is April 7th. Last year, this day, I was so excited all day about attending the Atlanta Piano & a Mic concerts. I was on cloud 9 all day until it was time for me to head to Atlanta. It was about a 3 hour drive and I was half-way there when I got a notification that I received an email from the venue (Fox Theater). I pulled over to get gas and to check the email and saw that the concerts had been postponed due to Prince having the flu. I was upset and was praying that he would be alright. I decided to make the best of the day though, and on the way home, I stopped to take pictures at some scenic places. Those pictures can be seen here:

I realized that I was feeling jittery, nervous, and upset because that time is coming up quick, in 2 weeks. Next Thursday will be the last time I saw him. My heart is breaking all over again. Last year, the excitement, the exhileration of waiting to see him perform. This year, still dealing with the loss, still grieving, and missing him so bad.

Yes, I was lucky to see him on the 14th. It's bitter sweet, though.

As for the camera, it's a Canon EOS T5, Digital SLR. I had always wanted to try my hand at photography and had bought the camera about 8 / 9 months earlier. That day was only the third time I had taken the camera out to shoot with.
