Houston 10-year Prince anniversary turned into a scam . They sold tickets based on performers who hadn't even been signed. Venue owned by Beyonce's father. http://m.chron.com/entert...914186.php Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

Most of the Prince fans here (Houston) that I know passed on this. The details were too sketchy. I didn't see any promotion for the NPG anywhere except from rumors on some local friends' Facebook accounts, so hopefully no one got hustled.

As soon as I saw the sloppiness of that poster (they misspelled Prince's name!), I knew this wasn't being promoted by a serious organization. The only mystery is: how involved was the family and which ones? Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

He was also in Houston to receive a Prince 10th anniversary super bowl proclamation from the state of Texas. Paisley Park is in your heart

Perhaps they should have made sure it was legit before they did so? The spelling error should have clued them in. Paisley Park is in your heart

A spelling error is just that a spelling error nothing more nothing less. It sounds like the promoter Matthew used for this duped everyone as this was going to be at Mr. Knowles venue.
If the sky fell tommorow trust me it would not be the fault of the Nelson family.

Sorry but misspelling the person's name you are honoring is a no no. Completely unprofessional and shows you don't really give a damn.

just keep following the $....not shocking that there is a Beyoncé tie to that. No good all around. Wonder if LM was involved too? [Edited 2/7/17 21:42pm]

When they can't even bother to be professional enough to spell the honoree's name right, (the most basic of things) why expect professionalism anywhere else? It was a sign of things to come.
