REPORTS of Prince's family SECOND NIGHT of DANCE ON 'TILL DAWN: CELEBRATING THE LIFE, MUSIC & LEGACY OF PRINCE Prince's family will hold the SECOND of three major events on October 13th to commemorate and honor our beloved Prince.
Hopefully, those of u that are fortunate enough to attend the second night of DANCE ON 'TILL DAWN: THREE NIGHTS CELEBRATING THE LIFE, MUSIC & LEGACY OF PRINCE would post your experience on this thread. Performers on the second night included: -Andre Cymone -The musical director of the Official Prince Tribute and member of The New Power Generation, Morris Hayes -Liv Warfield -Marva King -Judith Hill -Cassie -Mono Neon -The New Power Generation horns -Sonny T. -Kip -Tony M., Kirky J. and Damon Prince's brother Omar and the Mayor of Minneapolis spoke. The Mayor read the proclamation dedicated to Prince. | |

Who played Drums during Judith Hill segment? Was it Kirky J? And who was the dude that sang Dorothy Parker, Pop Life, Housequake? |

Gsharp sang lead on those other songs. He is part of a local Minneapolis band and knew Prince. The concert closed with an extensive funk jam by The New Power Generation that included It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night and other songs by Prince & James Brown. This was led by Cassie. If anyone is interested in sharing your experience of the first night of these three concerts held by Prince's family, there is a sticky thread regarding that night on the "Fan Gatherings" forum. It would be great if that would be moved to this "Concert Forum" because the performances were amazing. | |
