Who was ol' boy on the right, in the top hat? I heard Wendy introduce him, and was to the site of the stage near Lisa a lot of the time.

He looks like JellyBean Johnson...but don't quote me on this.

This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money.

I know there's more than one Hohner, and it may not be his, but nobody - Revolution or not - needs to be playing his guitars.

I agree - but I kind of think it was a similar one and not the actual one?

He did give her some of his guitars though

and they always played some guitars together ie the guitar he played in the 4 the Tears in Your Eyes video - the same guitar she played in the Raspberry Beret video

the blue flowered guitar that similar to this guitar in question that was played on during the ATWIAD/Parade shows.
Wendy played that same guitar with the leopard print during the 1984-1986 years

I love Apollonia! It is so cool she is there. What a gracious woman to make time for Mpls. She will always be my favorite "Prince" girl! heart

There was a guy that was in line with us and he was down at the stage with us during the show. And he got really moved. Apples knelt down and held his hand and comforted him. It was real sweet. Andre was outside taking pics with people before the show. Susannah and Manuela were hanging out and taking pics with people. It was a real love fest Thurs night.

I think that one was hers. She plays it in the AMERICA video. I just watched it tonight on my flight home. That might be my fav video he ever did.

From what I saw online, the band and the music sounded like the Revolution of old which was just cool .

So good that you sometimes wished Wendy would let the crowd sing instead of herself. And I dont mean that in a bad way.

Prince SHOULD'VE done this show. It pisses me off that he oposed the idea. mad neutral

One complain I always had with P's shows in the past 10 years, is that there were too many medleys and too much razzmatazz.
These Revolution shows are traight up raw, songs from start to finish, and just like they were back in the days.
Thats what makes them so exciting.

Im so angry that P never played one more time with them.

sad

Just had to step in to say how much I agree with you on this. I hear people talking about sound problems but whenever I've heard the Revolution playing these old songs I find myself thinking that I prefer their more faithful renditions than Prince's own more impatient and unfocussed versions in the last 15 years or so.

He'd never do the song all the way through and seemed to change the songs just for the sake of it. The Revolution know that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Glad they're doing these shows. Deep emotions. Deep emotions.
