And aside from the 1999 concert (too young, I think I was 13/14), I have seen him everytime he performed in New York. During the Musicology stint at Madison Square Garden I attended every show.

I live in Minneapolis and I was blessed to have attended the first celebration as well as the Friday night parties thereafter until about the end of winter 2000 and some nights in 2001. I must say it was one of the best time of my life. Prince would walk among the crowd which allowed him to go in and out of the room, on and off stage, and would stand very close and made eye contact with me in several instances.

I wish I had interacted with him when I had opportunities to do so especially the nights when it was not too crowded. Unfortunately, I was too shy, paralyzed, and very immature so I would look down, look away, and sometimes even walk away from him.

I realize now how fortunate I was....
