I hear purple rain from the last concert and I feel so God blessed empty inside... I am curious if any one was there for his last show...can you share what it meant to you and how you felt?

during the show i felt that he was in a relatively serious mood, playing a lot of serious songs, which i attributed to him feeling under the weather. the only type of show that could top this 4 me wuld be prince a capella, so i felt really glad to see the show.

Those shows were very emotional for me. I wrote a long review that you can find at those links. But I was really moved by all the love for P that was in the room that night. I was sitting in the first five rows and would turn around and look at the entire house and everyone happy and cheering and would really get choked up.

Then at the end, Prince walked to the edge of the stage and everyone was cheering and I thought at the time that he stood there for an extra second and just really appreciated it and soaked it in. When he walked off, I thought he looked a bit fatigued, even though he seemed totally fine during both shows.

But I think about those shows all the time. It has made this all even more difficult, but I am glad I was there, of course.

yeah, that was the first time i had seen him basking in the energy of the crowd like that, turning side to side as if sunning himself, but later i started wondering if he was actually doing more soaking up or shining out in that moment? i hope the love of the crowd was somehow helpful to him.

he has many awesome proteges/associates but now i see the last show being in atlanta as kind of a symbolic passing the inspiration torch to all the janelle monaes out there.
