Prince gave a little talk and showed everyone his new guitar and told us he was fine and we were wasting out prayers. Then he said he would be releasing the Atlanta show very soon. Played one quick diddy on the piano and then played 30 minutes of the second Atlanta show which he said was the best of the tour so far. He said they were working hard to take out all the people screaming things out. It sounded real good.

WHAHAHAHAAHAA!

So thePrince man suffers the same way from the same idiots that a bootleggar and a boot-listener suffers from.

Now if he would try to do something about it, at the show?

My thoughts exactly..... What sucks on this tour is that there are so many quiet moments in the show, and there alwyays seems to be the people (its guys as well as women) that feel the need to say "We love you Prince" and other crap during these parts. What happened to clapping and hooting and hollering at the end of songs, in between songs, and at the end of the show? Apparently that isnt good enough anymore. As much as people disparage the mllenials, it's older folks too.

I wish Prince would tell people to STFU.

Only idiots, not hard core fans, do those nasty things.

Shutting up is showing respect. How hard is it to grasp that? How hard is it to be polite?

.

On the side of the Prince man: how does he mike his piano?

If even he suffers from the idiots, then his sound tech should be called in to do the next gig better w.r.t. avoiding idiotic sounds.

If he points one mic at the idiots and places one in the ideal spot in/near/at the piano, then the idiot mic could get a clean sound signature that could be subtracted from the piano sounds.

More directional mics can help too.

Sorry I have no idea but it was small and really really sharp looking with a really cool unique case. I think it was basicaly round. He said that since it has been finished he's been dying looking at it because he's not playing any guitar while the piano tour is underway. He also said something about only having a few more gigs left (and after those he would release the Atlanta show) I'm tyring to think what he else he said. He mentioned something about Tamar and then said she was on "The Voice" right now. They played the finished audio from the Atlanta show.

I can imagine that he is (dying looking at it)! I have a friend that's a bass player, and when he gets new gear and can't try that new gear out as soon as he gets it ... It keeps calling to him! (Come play with me!)

There's probaby not much he can do as there are always going to be a lot of people who just have to scream "I love you Prince" during a quiet part off the show. It does ruin the mood a lot though when he's playing the pian. Yes they are morons for the most part.

Here is a photo of Prince holding up the guitar. A guy in the front was recording Prince talking and Prince pointed at him and said, "You're not supposed to be doing that." The guy said he was sorry and Prince said, "You're going to delete that, right?". Then security came and whisked him away.

He started off in the Love 4 One Another room on stage thanking everyone for coming. He said he was going to do a live album from the 2nd show from Atlanta and that it was the best show of the tour so far. He said he wanted to do a few more shows and clean up the recording from Atlanta of people yelling out.

He then asked us to go to the soundstage and that he had something he wanted to show us. We all went into the other room and he played a little on the new purple Yamaha piano. He then brought out a shiny purple guitar case and pulled out the guitar, which was also shiny purple. He said he hadn't played it yet, since he wanted to focus on the piano. He said he noticed when he was backing Tamar on the tour in 2006, that he got much better playing it when that was all he was focused on.

They went on to play 30 minutes from the Atlanta show from When Will We B Paid? to Dark. Prince went back into the Love 4 One Another room and listened with everyone.

From what you heard of the recording, excluding the yelling from the crowd, what did you think of it? (The first show was the worst with the yelling from the crowd during quiet moments. That show was much more sedate, reflective, but of course, rather than respecting that ... one woman in particular was sitting behind me, and I would have to lean foward, away from her, to be able to hear, and she was very crude with some of the things she was saying, but it still couldn't dampen my enjoyment of the concert. For some reason, I never felt the need to yell that out to him. I figure if I'm there, watching him in concert, he knows it.)

Yes exactly. People who yell out like that are most likely not too bright and/or extremely narcissistic. That are not satisfied being part of the collective applause and cheering that the entire crowd does together. They have to be "special" and try to make him aware of their existence separately. Well either that or they are just really desperate and have mental problems.

I've heard the European shows are a bit more respectful and quiet, overall, but of course only a very small % of the USA crowds are rude like this.

I was just struck at the ATL shows how most everyone there just adored him. P has built up a lot of goodwill over the past 38 years. And I think people are realizing that he is getting older (as we are) and who knows when we will see him again in concert, if ever, so better really make the most of this experience and show our appreciation for everything has done that made us so happy.

What a weird comment. Are you a troll from justinbieber.com or something? I hate to say it, but the "real" fans are the ones who adore this tour and of course Prince.org is mostly filled with real fans. So very odd thing to say here.

If this piano show ever comes out via the Prince man:

- it will not only be without idiotic sounds but it will be edited

- it will be incomplete

- it will be processed (beyond just EQ and compression, limiting)

If, however, any of these assumptions appear untrue on the actual release of the show, then the Prince man has surpassed himself in this area for the first time in his career.

No, no, you got it all wrong.

The piano thing cna be very boring if you do not like piano. Or the piano versions of songs, or the subset of songs he plays on the piano, versus a 'normal' guitar show.

On the Org there's fans, fams, and hardcore people.

The fams adore anything the Prince man does so calling them 'real fans' is odd.

It is about winning over the slightly more critical fan; if the Prince mna succeeds in that area then he has a good show on his hands.

I thought it sounded really good. When Will We B Paid? and Dark were the standouts for me. I really didn't even notice people yelling out during the songs. Maybe if I were to listen to it a few times I would, but I didn't on first listen. I wish it was one of the Paisley Park shows that was being released, though. I'm looking forward to hearing Indifference. Was it the whole song?

The real fans/fams don't adore everything Prince does...not the ones on Prince.org at least. They don't like the repeated Greatest Hits tours and all the lame medleys, etc, etc. And they have seen and heard it all (or close to it), so they are still fairly critical and discerning.

I don't get how someone can like music and "not like piano". It's one of the basic instruments. That's equivalent not liking guitar or drums.

Anyway, hearing P play a 80 min of music at the piano is exquisite for most every hardcore fan. If you need to hear Purple Rain and Kiss every show, then that's cool, but you aren't a hardcoe Prince fan by any means.
