It's no set rules 4 last minute, spare of the moment aftershows. Only no pics or recording devices. Word of mouth & b prepared 2 b up ALL night in2 the morning... But always worth the experience.

okay cool thanks! so if there was one how exactly would you find out about it? I've never been to one, and with no obligations the following day I could actually do an all night type thing.

The bigger challenge is Atlanta tends to shut down after about 2:00.

does anyone know how aftershows work? Just in case there does happen to be one, I'd like to go. is that something that is usually announced ahead of time? do you have to be on some kind of special list to get in etc? Anyone with any info on how that works could you please explain.

Keep an eye on pamfunkstress Twitter account. She is Prince's current touring DJ and has been spinning at the after parties, which have been announced ahead of time lately.

^she tweeted that she's coming to Atlanta. An afterparty/aftershow in the ATL would be dope.

Just saw the afterparty was announced, do you really have to be 21 to go? (I'm 20 is why I ask)

Atlanta is fairly strict.

They have to be.

Indeed. It's been strict since the Ray Lewis incident. But they pretty much have to be strict.

Just saw a couple of tickets available for the 7pm show. Front Orchestra. Row F. Seats 105 & 106. $307.50 per ticket. I have them in my cart and can coordinate their release if anybody wants them.

I don't believe that's Atlanta. Here's the Fox in Atlanta.

Another image: This one stated, "Few Atlanta landmarks are as fiercely loved as the Fox Theatre. Famously nicknamed “the Fabulous Fox,” the Arabian-themed movie palace is the home of first ..."

So the first image must be mistagged as Atlanta Fox and might be another Fox theater.

Thanks, Corleone! I deleted the first image. Either way, it's a beautiful venue and doesn't look like there really is a "bad" seat in the house.

Well, I'm not going to Detroit to see the other one! I'd miss Prince that way. eek Getting very excited. Going to go down early and find some places in Atlanta to photograph, get my tickets, and just enjoy these next 2 days in Atlanta. Hoping to have time to go to Centennial Olympic park, the Botanical Gardens, Georgian Terrace Hotel (a friend of mine had a relative that performed in GWTW and from my understanding many of the cast stayed there during the premier of the movie in Atlanta), and Oakland Cemetary. A strange hodgepodge of places to go, waiting to see the concert, and on Friday, but I don't get many days off of work, and since I love photography, this will be my relaxing time.

Still seeing a few tickets scattered around different parts of the theater for the 7pm show. Singles and couples. If you're still looking for a ticket, get on now and get lucky. It might be your last chance!

In my experience, you either ask around if anyone's heard anything or stick around after the show is over and the lights come on. They sometimes announce it very quietly as people are leaving. Just keep asking people. Someone will know.

I'm starting to get the extreme shivers about the show tomorrow! I'm in the very front row and I'm so excited. I've waited over a decade to see Prince live and feel so blessed to be able to finally see him AND IN THE FRONT FRIGGIN' ROW TO BOOT!! ^_^ I feel so happy I coud die!....after the concert lol.

Unfortunately, I have to figure out what to do with my extra ticket. It's looking like I might just be out of the price I paid for it sad

Still...SO excited about the show!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin
