personaly seeing him just with in a piano in a 20,000 seat arena is crazy.boring and way over priced, its a theater tour. but prince wants as munch money as he can get thats all.

I feel the same way.

I saw him on sunday at the Paramount. While it was good I wasn't blown away, I can't imagine paying top dollar for this at Oracle.

I might go the cheap ticket route & hope for an upgrade as my lady really wants to go.

I'm in 2 minds about these venues.

I saw Prince in 'intimate' ~2700 seat venues.Having said that the Perth Arena 'in the round' (crowds completely surrounding the stage) looked pretty awesome.

Actually to get technical the way the Sydney Opera House was set up was 'in the round' as crowds completely surrounded the stage. Except that it was at one end of the Opera House. The seats behind the stage weren't that many.

From what I saw of Perth it had an awesome 'party/sing along' atmosphere.

I have seen all types of tickets available now.... Maybe the system isn't so BS after all. If you search for $500 only seats, many times it will offer you super good $275 seats as an alternative.

wow glad thats over. I finally got the rw 6 uppers. I let them go initially & it took me 35 minutes of wading thru no tix, to worse seats, to overpriced ones but cycled back to these & snagged them this time...

uglystrange

WTF!!! HOW CAN ORACLE TICKETS BE SOLD OUT AT 4:01!!! ANOTHER SCAM!! PROTEST, BOYCOTT, AND GET THE MESSAGE THROUGH!! I just FLEW Back from Oakland and he announce'd this an i was bummed but now i jus feel like calling how i see it, BS!!

20,000 People are not able to buy all tickets w/in second's. I still am getting no ticket's 15m later?? This is a insult to US Fan's!!

How nice been trying 1 ticket thru my cell & 2 on cpu.. 2 TICKET'S SECTION 203 , ROW 19 , Seats 15/16 are like 115$ each and thats nosebleed!!! He's going to pull the same shit he did at Paramount, there u could see him/feel the music even if you were in the back here you won't!!

WHY KEEP GIVING HIM SO MUCH $$$ when i know a bunch of us who go aren't rich, nevermind even Wealthy. He talk's about help the poor, compassion, love one another,etc..

Maybe he should practice what he preach's.

Believe me the way he scalped ticket's himself n screwed people over acting like it was Ticketmaster (even though it said Artist Approved, so he was apart of the system screwing his fan's over, plus thought he was Anti-TM). SAYING TIX SOLD OUT IN MIN'S WHEN IT DIDN'T was hype for the paper!!

There was the "Platinum Ticket's", than there were ticket's released later at normal price closer to the show and they were closer seatwise for the same 279$!! So the people who bought Ticket's THINKING IT WAS SOLD OUT AND THOUGHT THAT WAS THERE ONLY CHOICE SINCE IT WAS AFTER THE TIME THE PARAMOUNT'S TIX WENT ON SALE SO THEY BOUGHT EM! NEXT YOU HAD On Line Version's of the paper saying PRINCE SOLD OUT IN MIN'S 2 hrs later & NEXT DAY IN PAPER IT SAID SOLD OUT SHOW AT PARAMOUNT!! SO some of us had to rebuy either Platinum Tix, or 2 day's before the show you coulda bought single Letter Tix for 279$. What happened to when you get your ticket if yr among the earliest you get that ticket. What's up w/ the game's??

Seem's like MONEY MATTER'S EVERY NIGHT TO HIM!! Also 20,000 seat venue you'd think he'd give more notice to the people who flew into town for Paramount? A lot of us can't afford another plane ticket, hotel, car rental, time, etc. It's all expensive w/ this limited of Notice. BUT that's if you want to try an hear a Piano&Mic in a Stadium & that's if u don't mind to feel like the used trojan's in Little Red Corvette!! Only thing I can see ok happening after the Oracle is possibly a Afterparty where he'd play for 15m. If it's anything like Perth your going to get 25m if yr lucky, if it's like Paramount's on Folsom he'll be on stage for a minute and go upstair's w/ a scowl on his face, talking to a couple people for about the same time, while his g/f talked to a few other guy's a bunch. She was only near him when they all left.

I never thought i'd say this but for the Poor and for the people that can't afford to EVEN SEE 1 Set/Show, and for the one's who travel & get shortchanged....

BOYCOTT PRINCE & TICKETMASTER. DO YOU WANNA GET A SCALPED TICKET BY THE MAN HIMSELF VIA TICKETMASTER!! It said Artist Approved so not like he didn't have anything to do w/ it. Instead of waiting in line's outside, or trying to get better ticket's b/c you got scammed early by asking everyone in line, or selling bootleg T-Shirt's outside,

HOLD A PICKET SIGN!!!

I feel like flying(or take train)down there jus to PICKET THIS SHOW (I've filmed/protested Occupy-Black Lives Matter-Help people who are sick getting decent Healthcare - Anti Oil, etc)!! The more i type the more i feel this is a form of trickery that the rich white CEO's would do, or a Record Company, even a Oil Company to the Gov. Or the people who buy up the History and charm in a city and tear it down to make cookie cutter looking Condo's w/ Starbuck's below & densly populate a already overrun city. Thought were supposed to go forward not backward's.

I'M HAVING A SELF PRESERVATION CONVERSATION TYPING THIS RIGHT NOW AS PRINCE WE SHOULD DO!! LIKE HE SAID AT THE PARAMOUNT.

49.50-500$!!! MORE LIKE 500 TO BE ABLE TO SEE HIM/FEEL THE MUSIC!! Because they jus tried selling me nosebleeds for 115$ each!!Also he's making so much off this it's not even funny (seriously it's not). It's like why not just flush the money down the toilet, more entertaining than trying to hear him that far back. At the Oracle he's going to look like a ant next to a minituare toy piano w/ ton's of crowd conversation's&scream's,unless yr paying 450$-500$ a ticket.

Look at Perth's Stadium Setlist an see if that's worth it b/c that's the inda show yr going to get. 1hr 20m of music, espicially w/ showtime at 9 which will be 9:30-10, an w/ all of him walking off the stage and coming back acting like it's 4 encore's when it's pure hype. He walked off 45m into the set an came back, an thats Encore 1.Please..

The way he's conducting himself is killing my respect, admiration, and artistry of a person i been following since i was young listening to 1999 (the record when it actually came out, not the year..these day's you never no). I stuck w/ the artist when people said he was a hasbeen, or when people said he was stupid for not talking an writing SLAVE on his face & I knew why an said it was brilliant ya'll don't understand. Even a record that wasen't that good he'd drop i'd dig an find the song's other's would scoff at or i'd show em see he still got it (cuz a lot of my friends weren't the biggest P fans), an some people wouldn't have gave him a chance if it wasen't for fan's like US!! I know a lot of us out there did that and in a way it's like who care's, were gettin thrown away like the Revolution, Dez Dickerson, Kim Basinger, Vanity ( RIP Denise), Mayte, etc.

I just don't feel this bs should be supported & I can't be the only one?? Even on LOL tour 3rdeye got Protested against in Seattle & Portland for the price of ticket's and i thought that was petty b/c i thought LOL tour was amazing, he was killing it on the guitar, AND The Venue's he played were more Intimate than the past. I was up front at quite a few of em.

But the whole Ticketmaster move, the real Fan's got jacked for doe b/c they thought they were getting the only ticket's left. Espicially when it kept saying all the Tix were all geting bought try again 20 seconds after the show went on sale!! So WTF, WE GOT LIED TOO, than he has the Paper Lie to you, than he open's up ticket's that everyone thought were gone day's after they went on sale. IT's a shady move, and I Thought he had more Integrity than to do that to his fan's.

The guy has bank like he has song's in his house sized Vault, this is a pure money move. Nevermind how much he got paid to play that boring set on the Russian guy's boat, I honestly don't think he fully care's about his fan's unless yr someone famous or someone he admire's. It's all smoke & mirror's. He want's you to buy merch, buy that extra ticket closer up 2 days away from the show even though you thought those were already sold, since it said show was Sold Out & you shouldn't because your trying to make end's meet but music can heal the pain an you don't want to be far back so you buy a closer ticket or Plat Seat to be closer so you can feel his music.

the games he play's w/ his fan's ain't cool. Like for the The Paramount's TICK (EVIL) MASTER situation. He know's he can do what he want's b/c people let him an it's sad. It's almost like when he talk's about his Dad beating&leaving his mom. He's been saying how he want's to be his dad (Funny Purple Rain the Movie he said was nothing like his life an loosely based for decades now what he's been saying from his own mouth at show's, show's it was on point).

At Paisley he said he'd watch his mom get beat, at Paramount he's talking how'd his dad get so cool!?! AND he want's to be as cool as him.

We'll it look's like us the FAN'S ARE HIS MOM & He's his dad!! And were paying for that Strange Relationship!! When will we not be blinded by his smirk an what seem's like a empty promise. Add up how much he making from Merch, Ticket sale's (some people had to buy 2-3 times to jus get the seat they should have been able to get the 1st try since the seat was open for how long?), Afterparty's. Not sure if it's true but i heard the Oakland afterparty he got a piece of , while showing himself for a whole min at Folsom. Another 25 bux a head. It jus keep's adding up. Now the Oracle??What's wrong did the merch he sell out of take to long to get made so thats why this show got pushed to what Fri??

This Is Depressing

We had to try for a while since tickets kept being freed up or we'd get even pricier ones but we finally got some 45 minutes later, we needed enough for a group. I haven't seen heard Prince since Oct 1997 - acoustics were alright then, but I saved a fortune by not having my own seat. lol

I'm so excited to actually see him live I don't mind the prices too much- I've missed his last couple shows in the area since I was underage, stuck in school, too far away etc. and I really needed to see him at least once.

I wanted to take two friends so I am looking for less expensive tickets. I think they simply are not selling them. There are a number on Stubhub but they keep offering me more expensive ones. Maybe if I wait, more willcome up. They may not be planning to open the upper levels.

"Following two sold out, critically acclaimed shows at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland Sunday night, PRINCE has confirmed his Piano & A Microphone Tour will return to the Bay Area for one additional performance in the round THIS FRIDAY night (March 4th) at Oracle Arena in Oakland."

There's a group of 5 of us, we got section 212, row 18 - nosebleed seats but not bad for a broke college student. Back in 1997 I'm not sure where my mom sat, but I remember hearing about her standing on a chair 8 months pregnant with me; my guess is floor!
