The show in Perth is on the 25th, right? That leaves the 26th & 27th for travelling, resting and adjusting from your jet lag. Plus, when it's 7 am in Australia on the 26th, it's noon on the 25th in California. [Edited 2/24/16 12:10pm] [Edited 2/24/16 12:20pm]

Got tix, orchestra seats 6 and 8, after thinking it was all over via the phone app. I'm still trying for a friend and it's not saying tix may be available.

Damn, I've been refreshing and checking the last two and a half hours. Only took a few little breaks to get ready for work and eat. But checking the whole time. Nothing. Not on the phone, not the app, not online.

Anyone else notice how there are "platinum seats" up for sale now? Basically scalped ones. More proof that ticketmaster actually scalps their own tickets. Even Dr Funkenberry tweeted about it.

There are amazing seats available through Ticketmaster's Platinum program (aka pay TIcektmaster scalper prices for the good seats) for $600+ a ticket

If you read the fine print, it is authorized by the artist.

Hmm, $273 plus fees was the top dollar ones. So if you paid 297 plus fees then yeah maybe that was a platinum. I have only seen platinum starting at 450. Thats crazy.

Back in 2013 at the Fillmore in SF I paid $200 which was face value. General admission and I was frickin 20 ft away from Prince!

That show was a private event where Prince controlled the sales through Live nation. Now tickemaster controls the sales and what happens? Tickets are waaaay harder to get, more expensive and they're being scalped already.

partial definition of Platinum seating: Ticketmaster's Official Platinum Seats program enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold. The goal is to give the most passionate fans fair and safe access to the best tickets, while enabling artists and other people involved in staging live events to price tickets closer to their true value.

So in other words, they withhold really great seats when tix go on sale, guage demand, and if enough, sell withheld seats as platinum seats at greatly inflated prices for "passionate" fans. WTF. I would think Prince would dissuade them from this practice.

Oh nasty. Meaning people without jobs get tickets. Well, mine cost about 307 total and it is a great seat. Balcony front. But what a drag to do that. At least I do not have to buy a plane ticket or motel room!

Balcony 21 22 row c. I think they are good. I saw Bob Dylan from a front balcony seat and it was ideal. OK, I am dopey at reading the map so maybe I am behind a post or something. Where are yours?

Orchestra row "LL" seats 6 and 8. I think it's off to the left facing the stage. I hope they're good seats! Been a while since I was at the paramount.

Yours sound better. I prefer orchestra but it has been two years since the Fillmore shows and I am happy. Sadly, without my beloved. Just one ticket.

I couldn't get tickets despite me and my husband trying on two different accounts for both shows. Thankfully a friend got extra. We moved here from Minneapolis a few years ago and are pissed that we missed the house parties he's been doing recently.

I was actually shocked when I read that the "Official Platinum Seats" are not re-sale tickets, but are being sold for the first time at ridiculous prices directly from TicketMaster! What??? I really don't think Prince would approve of this. I wish we could go back to the days when we easily bought ticket through the fan club. We didn't know where we would be sitting until the night of the show when we picked up our tickets, but it didn't matter, because we always knew that the fan club members were getting the best seats. And there wasn't any scalping going on because they didn't know theseat locations, so scalpers couldn't sell the tickets. This will be the first local show I haven't been able to go to.
