Guess we can count these venues out

The article seems to be confusing an after party with an after show. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Yes, I saw that today but didn't think it warranted a mention. It's embarrassingly bad. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

Looks like utter speculation, he will be playing 2 shows and then has to get to Perth the next day, it seems very unlikely. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

It's presented as utter speculation. The issue is in the assumption that it and afterparty would neccessarily be in a venue with a piano and that's all that's focused on, including a hotel foyer for fucks sake. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

I read last night that Prince will fly to Perth overnight by private jet after the Auckland show so if that's true then there'll be no after party. Sad, he is not staying in our beautiful city. Wonder what hotel he is staying in and when he arrives, maybe if he arrives 22 and 23 he could play a preshow. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Agree with lust too, guys do not believe everything in the New Zealand Herald, its a tabloid rag with right wing prejudices at best. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

That's where most of the celebs seem to stay. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

It's a real bummer, but with a private plane, can you fly whenever you want? With the time difference, I wouldn't think it would be that much trouble to party after and then leave in the morning. You can sleep on the plane (I'm sure it's comfy) and you still arrive early in the day...
Still, it's unlikely, right?

Still, it's unlikely, right? Yeah it's possible and who knows how accurate the info was in the first place anyway. But, he's not doing aftershows and hanging around until 3am just to have a chance at seeing him in a VIP area of some awful nightclub ain't my idea of a good time. It was at the Seafarers on Tyler St.
They were only letting people with purple wristbands (not the show ones) and I've no idea how people got those. We got down at 12.30 ish and there's very few people lining up. If I thought there'd be a show, I'd have stayed and chanced them relaxing the rules but wasn't interested in "maybe" going clubbing just to see Prince from the other side of the room so I went home. No idea what happened after that. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

So legend has it, if recording artist Prince is feeling the right vibe at a show, he gets his team to head out into the crowd and pick people to party with later. And so it was last night after Prince performed two intimate shows at Auckland's Aotea Centre. Spy spoke to one lucky party-goer who told us they were one of 60 people to be given a wristband to go and hang out with Prince on the Seafarers rooftop following the concerts. We hear it was quite the beautiful line-up of guests. Concert review: Prince, ASB Theatre Fittingly, the soiree was all funk and soul music - and everyone danced like it was 1999. Prince is understood to have left the party around 3am.

About 30 years ago when Boy George came to Melbourne, he openly welcomed fans to his hotel room; there was a queue but he was happy to meet people who were polite and patient.
Maybe it's the times that have changed, but I can't see Prince doing that; it only occurred to me *afterwards* to have tried.

Yeah, well joke's on me as it turns out is was the Langham and he played the piano in the foyer just before the show. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

We were approached by what I assume was the main person from Dainty Group and asked surreptitiously if we would be interested in attending. This was before the show. I feel like the majority of the people at the after party were at the VIP pre function. I left at 1.45 and he must have turned up just after that to my dismay

I feel like h would have just stared blankly into my soul and I would have lost control of every bodily fluid which in that context is not desirable. It look like he just sat in the corner and nobody was allowed to talk to him. the roped off area went quite far back into a corner so I dont think there would have been any interaction. This is what I keep telling myself so I don't feel suicidal thinking on how I oculd have actually been in the same room as him. Luckily he will live forever so if he acts on his promise that he will come back there may be another chance.
