I've heard a few reviews claiming that people booed Prince and started yelling out 'Bullshit!'. Which definitly did not happen. And all of the remarks of dissapointment [that I heard] were more sarcastic in nature than genuine.

I'll second that,

yes there was some minor disapointment after the bloke announced the "show had concluded" on the PA.. but it wasn't in the form of booing or shouting, everyone was still cheering and clapping as I escaped quickly to get out first...

A handful of bogans up the back out of a thousand people there? Ooo scathing.

Do you mean going to 2 shows for fans is a mistake or Prince performing 2 shows a night is a mistake?

Prince doing 2 shows a night. Good for his bank balance, not for fans. Add another night instead. Everybody wins. You might get a few after shows then too.

It was amazing.

Did songs I'd never seen before, notably, The Love We Make, Paisley Park and The Ladder.

Dedicated a Red Corvette / Dirty Mind mash up to Vanity.

Very funny in parts (Batman/Wizard of Oz story), however, also quite sad too (Dad stories / Vanity)

Best version of Beautiful Ones I've ever heard, did a beautiful Waiting in Vain (Marley) / If I Was Ure Girlfriend mash up too.

Bit overcome with it all at the mo' to remember any more, was an incredible night.

Without doubt my favourite Prince experience ever.

Apologies for the term Mash Up too haha can't think of another way to describe it atm.

What were the Batman, Wizard of Oz, and Dad stories? Thanks.

kinda was one story actually, about his dad and church, and teaching him piano, but he also learned it from TV - mainly wizard of oz and Batman... just a nice insight into his early life really and how much he loved his folks...

I agree. Two shows a night is total bs and in my opinion a scam for what the tickets cost. Then again Prince likes getting over on his fans and they seem to like it so I guess its all good. Its pretty funny really how much he is getting over here. Smart business man indeed as long as people are paying for an hour and 15-30 minute show.

Yes if one was extra cynical this could be seen as a cash grab at hardcore fans who will go to both shows, so are paying $800 for a 3 hour concert with an extra long intermission confused

I'll see how I feel tomorrow but the chance to see Prince at the Opera house is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity woot! What seems to be getting lost is that he is sounding amazing - still! After all these years!

Thanks to the orgers for the update. Concert sounds like an amazing experience. How difficult it must be for Prince though. Losing an ex, no matter how long you haven't spoken is a difficult experience.

V10LETBLUES

How difficult it must be to do two shows a night. Beyond the belligerent cynicism by some here, that's a lot of work. I'm more worried about him and his well being than being a pissant worrying whether I got enough out of him because he performs a second show.

Loved it!
Hand on heart when he was playing Over the Rainbow...I had goosebumps-I loved wizard of oz growing up.
Couldnt see the stage during the beautiful ones...I had tears.
his voice was amazing!
Raspberry Beret....never get tired of hearing my fav song. mushy
wasnt a fan of LRC on his last tour but this dedication to Denise was so touching I'll never ever forget it.

songs I heard for the first time on the syracuse simulcast came to life in front of me: do me baby and how come u dont call me faint

We all know how talented Prince is on various instruments...these shows let his own personal instrument, his voice shine.

and ive always loved his speaking voice: his anecdotes in between the songs was amazing.

im glad I got to witness this show- I dont think I'll ever be privileged to witness anything like it again.
