That's the last time I was at Paisley Park. Flew in for the show and then flew back to LA right afterwards! I miss that place so much, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to make it this time! |

There isn't enough money anyone can pay me to go to Minnesota in January on purpose.
I'm willing to brave the extreme cold for the opportunity to see him at Paisley Park. Be that as it may, the absence of ticket information is putting a damper on potential travel plans.
His penchant for providing last-minute details is predictable, but maddening nonetheless.

Just saw they installed carpet in the entire Soundstage. And it looks like they set up a tiny stage in front of the giant symbol doors that open to the L4OA room.
Crazy. |

So can someone tell me how this works? Do I just hop a plane and show up at said address expecting to get in? Is there a process or some sort of list? Excuse my ignorance, but I legit have no idea, and before I spend money traveling to MN, I need to know I'm not gonna be standing outside Paisley Park looking like this, and talkin' bout, "He said 'admission is easy, just say you believe'. I said I believed, but they ain't let me in."

At least when I joined the Lotusflower site (at the end of it wtf!) I was offered a ticket for a Paisley Park concert for $40. Wish I could have gone. But, it's too hit'n'run for real these days to chance going all the way to Minnesota and be shut out. Luckily for me, he came to a venue near me in 2014 and I got to see two shows. I was only able to score tickets by looking at his twitter at the right time... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

I'm in the same boat. I'd love to get out to MN to see the show but the same reasons are holding me back from making the attempt. But what you said about watching his twitter feed is great advice for future shows. Appreciate you sharing that info. |

You're welcome. And I got to see him (finally!) at a small club that only holds 1,000 or so people. It wasn't one of the legendary concerts I missed out on in the 80s (too broke, didn't have a car to travel long distances, etc. lol), but it was extra special for me. Looks pretty georgous. Liking the light setup, carpet cushions, lovely piano. Looks intimate. For those going this should be great!
Really hope the full tour goes ahead. Hundalasiliah! |

Tickets make sense, or some sort of guest list process. Like you said, it's hit 'n' run, and if I'm going to use a couple of personal days, and a few ducats for flight, rental car, and a hotel, I need a guaranteed seat, or at least a place to stand. Lucky you got to see him in 2014. I was looking forward to experiencing the afro in HD... I'll keep to the twitter feed...great idea! Thanks! |
