My religious friends (muslim, sikh, jewisH) have no qualms about working on holidays if it's not their own holy days (and even then...).

Plenty of rich performers do this kind of gig if the money is good enough: Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, etc.

Also I doubt Prince ever was a strictly observant JW, even less so in recent years. But I guess you like to see the world in neat categories: religious= orthodoxy, anything else must mean he's a fraud; pursuing a lucrative opportunity= needs cash pronto, because when people get rich they never try to get more money otherwise it means they are on the verge of bankruptcy; fams : asskissers who don't seize every opportunity to criticize.
