What song is Butterface??? is it new? is it funny ?? lyrics anyone?

It's a twelve-bar blues number with comedy lyrics along the lines of "I love everything about her... but her face (butterface)". At the end he said "I just needed to get that out of my system." I guess it's new, cos I can't find any mention of it on any "every Prince song ever" list and I can't find any Google evidence of it being a cover. If anyone knows better, let me know...

Thanks it sounds like in the line of "cockeyed Woman!" I love it when Prince does Comedy Blues!! I really wish I could've heard it... ;p

He also played this at the Roundhouse (show #2), sounded like he made the words up on the spot (musically it was simply "The Ride").

Try fact checking b4 u slate people hunny. Didn't see your skinny *** attempting to help fan manage the Q. And if any of the front row crew would like to point out where he actually watched the gig from then you'd find out he was pretty aware of the implication of being led in by security. In case you need it spelt out - from the back. Pathetic sniping from some self satisfied jerks on this board.

Its sad that, as Prince fans united, there is so much bitchin on this site. I know that some fans seem OTT but I think we should all try and stick to the thread topics rather than diverting into a bitchfest. Jay isn't my cup of tea BUT he has done more than anyone I've known to help those that queue for hours get to the front and to make the long waits less boring. It takes all sorts of people to make this world we live in and I think we should respect and tolerate each other rather than throwing insults around. They help no-one. Sorry, rant over. biggrin

It is P and venue security to manage the Q...not a guy acting the self appointed giving numbers to the crowd....we could all do that.

Langebleu - I wasn't the one who went off topic in the first place slagging someone off.

Purplessnicki - except the venue's don't by and large manage the Q. LG in Birmingham did it well. Phones 4 U were shocking. Koko and Ronnie's were fan managed before the bearded one came along - he just continued the theme. As for P managing the Q - you are joking right? If his managent gave even the slightest thought then they would coordinate with the venue and they clearly don't as evidenced by MCR and Leeds.

You want to be at the front, you turn up early - simple fact. I was first at Phones 4 U on the Friday and could easily have not been on the barrier because the venue had a policy of opening all the doors at once and not acknowledging those who had been there the longest.

"We could all do that" great - next time please do. What an utterly daft comment. As other people have said, he's not everyones cup of tea but he tried damn hard to be inclusive, make sure the Q looked out for each other and let people back in where they had joined.

In MCR in Feb, the venue told people (at 10 in the morning - when nobody had tickets) that if they left the Q for the toilet/food etc then they would have to go the back - anybody going back to their original place would be ejected and made to join the back of the Q. Jay took the head of security aside and negotiated that the fans would manage the Q and look after each others space. I didn't see anyone else stand up and do that. And for what reward - absolutely none whatsoever - except your bitchy remarks Purplesnicki, allwaystired, daysofwyld - grow a set, and remember who will try and look out for you when a pissed casual tries to push past you as the doors open.

Only ensuring he stayed at his rightful place at the front of the queue..no other reason...seen that type before.

I don't think there's been any 'character assasination' as we don't know his 'character' but I find YOUR messages to be grossly offensive. Calling people 'skinny a##e', prick etc is not ok. People are just expressing their opinion- which is that they don't like being ordered around by someone who seems happy to shove himself and his pals in at the front of the queue. Nothing more.

He's clearly a friend of yours, which is fine, but please respect differences of opinion. Now, back to the topic- rubbish celebrities watching great gigs!

You + your chums don't profess to know his 'character' but can make comments like "What an absolute tool.." (daysofwyld - 4th June), "If so the guys a full on bellend" (honer - 5th June), " A very self-satisfied man" (allwaystired - 4th June) - all are opinions neither based on fact and the first two are very f**king offensive. So much so that if either of them said that to someone's face then he'd be searching the floor for his teeth - how can you not think that is offensive?

*

So - it wasn't me who started the name calling and I've only shared fact. I am not going to respect the difference of opinion (regardless of him being a friend or not) because I have tried to put across what really happened and you simply refuse to acknowledge that the opinions that you have formed have been down to some facts being incorrect.

*

allwaystired - don't ever make any effort to help another person because I will always have the opinion that you are doing it for your own selfish reasons. I hear you only visit your Dear Aunt Mabel so that she keeps you in her will. "What's that? It's not true - you visit because you like her? Oh, but I saw you wink at your mate when you said you hoped she'd live to be 100. Oh the wink wasn't referring to that comment - oh OK. But I think it was - I think you want her to shuffle of the mortal coil so that you can get your hands on the inheritance. Sorry - no matter what you say, I'm not going to accept that I might have got the wrong impression" - see how easy it is. And how you'd have zero chance of changing my opinion if I took up such an ill-informed position.

I was warned that posting on the Org would lead to this: trolls
