With Prince having let balloons go at every one of the recent shows, I've been thinking it would be nice if we brought in Happy Birthday balloons! Although I guess the venue might not appreciate that much ... hundreds of balloons flying around on top of the building. lol

I think that is a brilliant idea! I'll go look for balloons, we won't have helium, so they won't go to the roof, but the audience can bounce them around... I really like the idea, Dreamer20ten!
Prince doesn't celebrate his B-day, is that true? Life is short, get your priorities straight |

Good to know that foreign fans will come to Vienna 4 the purple party ! Actually I think we even need you to fill Wiener Stadthalle, because the Austrian fanbase is not so big to fill this arena by such short notice - BUT we can be VERY enthusiastic !! I can't remember being in a 13000 people-crowd making more noise than the audience of the 2010 gig in Vienna !!!
---and I went to Prince-concerts in London, Paris, Milan, Montreux, Frankfurt, Munich, Budapest and Minneapolis
We'll have a blast
I saw him in 2011 in Gent, Antwerp, North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam, Arnhem and Luxemburg, and this year in Sportpaleis Antwerpen, and in a spectacular show for 400 people in Botanique, Brussels, and now in Vienna.... (that's 8 concerts in a few years)
Oh well, it makes me feel good and keeps me happy! Life is short, get your priorities straight |

Not a lot of tickets sold so far. Even Golden Circle is still available! Second tier not even on sale (yet).
Can`t believe it - there are still Golden Circle Tickets available - after almost one week.
I keep my fingers crossed for you guys that it will not be canceled last minute like Berlin... |

GC still available?!?! Wow, that's really scary... He could really cancel. That would be terrible, my first concert cancelled... After being a fan for some 20+ years...
Please don't!!!! I guess I'd better wait before buying train tickets anyway... |

Did anyone here who bought tickets through allevent.com have them shipped abroad? I was wondering if you have received yours, as mine haven't yet arrived. I'll probably have to contact them if they don't get here tomorrow.
I thought that the 8 euro postage that I paid would have meant either a courier or a registered first class delivery.
Here's hoping that the concert doesn't get cancelled! |

I think there won´t be a cancellation: today I picked up the tickets for the concert on Saturday at this ticketseller ,you mentioned, here in Vienna.

Great to hear that they actually exist and have tickets! I had no idea where I sent my 300 euros as I didn't really think twice when ordering because... well... Prince. Makes you do things. (Oh, temptation.)
I guess if my tickets don't get here on time I can always pick them up from the ticket seller on Saturday. I actually forgot to take my tickets to one of the London shows back in 2007 and they were nice enough to print me extra copies at O2. |

After the Berlin fiasco I am thinking about going to Vienna but I have a strange feeling they will cancel this one as well... Really, looking at the ticket sales, Golden Circle is still available, AFAIK Tier 2 wasn't even on sale and there's still a lot of free seats on both sides...
I need my Prince fix, what to do, what to do? |

I'm holding my breath too, to be honest.
At least this sounds positive:
Konzert in Wiener Stadthalle fix
Der Auftritt in der Stadthalle ist laut Veranstalter jedenfalls ungefährdet, “man würde sich natürlich über Besucher aus Deutschland freuen”, hieß es am Montag.

Unfortunately, holding the tickets in ones hands doesn`t prevent you from a cancellation. I received my Berlin tickets last friday via UPS Express delivery from the ticketseller...
And still Golden Circle tickets available in Vienna en masse: It`s no problem to order 10 in one go.
But still: I wish you guys luck that ya`ll will have a great show on Saturday!!! |

Apparently 8.500 out of 16.000 tickets sold so far.

Does it say that Prince is asking everyone to wear purple? My German is horrible.
8,500 is not that bad. And if the Golden Circle doesn't sell out, it gives us more space to party. |

Yes, wear something purple and smartphone photography is not allowed.

With the article and the promo video, it seems that the promoters aren't ready to cancel, at least not without a fight! |

If they do not cancel, everyone will get an upgrade. I used to rely on that and only bought cheap tickets and landed a great seat anyway. No more. Philmoreliz |

Hm, I'm afraid that's not true because on ticketmaster you can still get GC tickets.
If the Stadthalle is really only gonna be half full it would be a shame!! But I was a bit worried about the ticket sale on such short notice ... we in Austria don't have a strong fan base like in the UK, Paris, Amsterdam and elsewhere up north. (at least I think that's the case ... unfortunately) |

Prince doesn't celebrate his B-day, is that true?
I can imagine Prince would like that. - Never mind whether he celebrates his birthday or not, he obviously likes balloons.
But it is true, he has said so for many years that he is not celebrating birthdays - because of his religion and because he does not "believe in time". |
