I'm a Fan since 1984, just as many other folks here. I truly love and support his music for 30 years. Every year I celebrate Prince with a Party on his birthday (look here: https://www.facebook.com/...;fref=ts). I have deep respect even for his strangest decisions and behavior. But I can not understand why tickets for the Berlin show are insanely over-priced. What do you expect? Real fans of a real musician? Or rich folks who "rattle their fuckin' jewelry" when he plays "Kiss"? I would take a day off from work, would drive 500 km to see him live in Berlin. But I surely won't pay 300 €, not counting travel or hotel expenses!! That's extorionate! Sorry, but I prefer to spend such an amount of money for a small holiday with my family or donate it to someone who really is in need. If this is the future treatment of fans that we have to expect, then you surely can count me out.

Those ticket prices are frankly embarassing. There is nothing more to say about it other than it's blind greed to charge fans that. I really hope the people of Berlin vote with their feet on this one.

If you think it's too expensive - don't go.

If no one goes, prices for future gigs will presumably be lower.

It's simple supply and demand in a free market economy - I'm not a fan but my issue is with the system itself, not individuals who try to maximise their personal revenue (which ironically, in the end, the £10 gigs were designed to do).

Obviously people need to feel "premium" - whatever that means.

For the moment at least it seems as if the rampant prices for the Berlin-show will not be payed as easily as expected. There may be further reductions in ticket-prices for June 3rd.

But you don't live in Germany...

..still feel sorry for the German fans though!

Since 2004 Prince had been playing one and a half concerts in Germany.The last one caused people to consult an otolaryngologist. I am not sure if you really have to feel sorry for the german fans, if there are indeed any left.

Not sure what's going on really- thought this tour started off doing things cheaply, giving people a chance to hear new material. That was his stated aim. The new material has pretty much vanished from set lists and ticket prices are becoming more ludicrous as things go on. Seems a real shame to me.

well bitching and moaning about prices certainly won't change anything

the real question is............will he play "Wall of Berlin"?

My predicition:

1) They'll lower prices significantly during Wednesday.

2) Or they'll offer tickets at the door for like 50 EUR

3) Or they'll cancel the concert.

Why ? Because you have to take into account that every ticket sold has to be shipped in time otherwise the concert is taking place before tickets have arrived.Which means if they don't lower prices they will not sell enough tickets quick enough to ship them, especially since Thursday is an official holiday (one day less to ship in time).

Anyway, even with these outrages prices so far there are still some options:

a) Go to the venue and buy a ticket on aftermarket - should be easy as there are always people that have a spare ticket and should be desperate to get rid of them as prices are falling.

b) Go to the venue and just try to sneak in (sometimes this does work)

c) Go to the venue and listen from outside

d) Go to the venue (or not) and find out about the aftershow, go there.

Btw, 188 EUR is only for the crap view seats/standing.Seats or standing with better view are still at 300-330 EUR.

When he came to Luxemburg some years ago. I payed 100something € and I already thought that its ridicoulous. I only went there because it was so f***ng close to my home as no other show had ever been...

I really enjoyed the concerts in London, than North Sea Jazz, even the last Berlin concert wasn`t that bad... But to be honest, since Musicology nothing he did was really important. He keeps recycling his Hits from 20 or 30 years ago, sometimes fantastic, sometimes good, sometimes....

Thats alright for a man in his 50s, but not worth this ticket prices, even if you are a die hard fan.

A new day - ticket sales seem to be a desaster according to the availability of seats.It´s not looking good though... a word from the promoter would be helpful...... I would need to book a flight to Berlin if it´s happening........

Yeah, London was cool, too.

However my best experience ever was the ONA tour, where you would get so much more as a fan (Soundcheck, front row, Aftershow party priority....) - all of that at price that would seem a bargain today...

I think the prices will have been set by a promoter rather than Princes guys,

Is this the one where its a smaller venue? The promoter would have probably been given a fee for Prince which he will get as a flat rate so maybe they had to sell at a price to reflect Prince's fee, plus their profit and additional costs, with it being the smaller venue it would have meant higher prices I'd imagine.
