Right, this list changes as of last night.
1. Roundhouse - show 1 Fantastic venue, perfect sound, Prince in the best form and mood. Setlist perfect for the 3k venue. Truly joyous and wonderful. That note he hit in 'A case of U'. Just BRILLIANT
The rest, as above - thanks

I only got to 2 gigs - Shepherds Bush Empre and the first night at Birmingham - and talk about a massive difference. SB was like he had something to prove - this is my new sound get used to it - and he seemed confident with it too. And yeah, he totally rocked it - and as most top gigs do 2hr 45min went like a blur framed in a heavy, garage rock purple funkolia. Loved it and found myself leaving the gig genuinely excited in his new direction. Then Birmingham - had to stand towards the back so my short girlfriend could get a view, and I dunno, was so disappointed. I'm sure it was where we were standing, crap sound, crap visuals of Prince on the big-screen, wherever we move always seemed to be a couple talking all the way through(?!), shame especially reading about so many here had enjoyed it so much close up. But it was also shoe-horning his hits into the set, which for me made it disjointed. . So glad I witnessed SB - what a gig - that size venue and setlist is where 3rdEyeGirl excel.
So...

1. Saturday 22nd Feb-Manchester Academy Amazing, never thought I'd get to see him in so small a venue, longest show and the best setlist and crowd
2. Friday 16th May-Manchester Phones 4 U Arena First of the arena dates I'd been to-something special about that and went with a prince newbie who was blown away. Loved the crowd interaction, was 4 back from the microphone-Little Red Corvette, Funk N Roll, Crimson & Clover and Something in the water. He was the most playful out of the dates I went to, lots of dancing and messing about although the 'look' started after some technical faults
3. Monday 19th May- Birmingham LG Arena Second row back from the microphone which made this gig special and with Laura Mvula I came away feeling like I'd got a treat rather than being cheated out of performance time. To see Prince on the side of the stage whilst she was performing was cool. Nothin Compares 2 U i got goosebumps from and the encore separated this gig from the others.
4. Friday 23rd May- Leeds First Direct Arena The last of my dates, "Sometimes it snows in april" was a highlight but also got to hear 'Nothin compares to u' again. I didn't like the order of the setlist as much as other shows and he seemed far more serious. Amazing show all the same, perhaps because it was my last night Purple Rain stood out, definitely had that 'feel good' feeling. Fans I went with loved it and were blown away, they couldn't believe how close we got in the standing area.
