There was an event at Wembley Arena that was booked for next Friday (it is a boxing weigh in for a fight the next day at Wembley Stadium).

Today that weigh in has been moved from Wembley Arena 'to accomodate a new event that has just been booked'.

I am pretty sure it is Prince from what I have heard today.

Steve Bunce (Uk boxing journalist) said today that the weigh in had been moved as a concert has just been booked at Wembley Arena for Friday.

Not sure how clued up he is though.

There is alot more planning gone into these than you'd think, so I think they would have known a bit back that the weigh in wouldnt have only just been moved I'd imagine.

.

I know that the promoter had booked the AV crew in their hotel in Manchester at the end of Feb/March, didnt know at the time who it was for and dont think the hotel did either but it clicked straight away once it was announced.

.

Maybe they did it different for London and went for Last min and im sure we'll find out soon enough smile but they did drop hints a while back on their twitter when they uploaded the first poster for the tour and it said London on it then played it down like it was a mistake saying it was THEO who had done it.... then was tweeting THEO 2 (The O2)

Well, the 02 is free on Friday, so the Arena being quoted could be the 02. Not leaving much time to sell tickets though.

and the O2 is 20,000, a bit different to the 12 -15,000 he has been playing

Its smaller than the Manchester Arena which is 23,000, and London have a population 3 times that of manchester so should have no trouble selling it out.

30th of May I have tickets to see Katy Perry at O2 (with my daughter).

What is the fastest way, and how long does it take, to get from O2 to Wembley Arena?

I absolutely have to be at Brixton Academy that night for work so if it's next Friday I've gotta give it a miss.. Really hoping for more than one date.. Better still, more than one venue.. 1 weeks notice is a bit of a piss take..

Yeah, a week is far too short. Can't get baby sitters for the 30th, so will have to miss it if it is that day.

RIP sad

Hey man, did you get to go to any of the other gigs? I went to Manchester (16th).. Was really great! I was looking forward to trying to get "side view" tickets for Wembley as they are normally little cheaper and a brilliant view. I saw prince from the side in 98 and Crowded house also... Hopefully for us there will be other options!

I didn't bother trying to get to any of the other shows. Kind of excited for Wembley but it's going to be difficult to get a baby sitter at short notice and to be really honest, I'm not sure it's going to be worth it if the prices are the same as the shows up north. I shan't be spending £100+ on each ticket, and have no desire to pay to sit at the back after having seen him up close so many times.

I'm turning into a grump!

I'd rather spend the money on the kids.

I want a new album biggrin

RIP sad

Yes, just after I finish my exams, that's obviously the best time Princey my dear, get all these silly ideas of the 29th out of your head.

Im really hoping this is the End of the Hit & Run themed shows if im honest and that they been used as a chance to drum up publicity for the new Album tour. I've enjoyed the 3 shows I've been to but Im really keen to hear new material.

.

It's a shame because most who would buy tickets to go expect to hear the hits or go away dissapointed but at what point does he say that he wants to plug new stuff?

.

Strange that he hasnt done The Breakdown on this tour yet? (Or has he?)

I really don't get it.

And I'm shocked the sampler set hasn't included a bit of FALLINLOVE2NITE.

The gigs are ripe for both.

Aye and I think the breakdown could have gone down really well too, you'd think he'd want to push it, is a great track and alot that we're at the shows probabaly wouldnt have heard it unless they followed him a little more than the average casual fan.

.

Maybe he's already having issues with Warner and not playing it for what ever reason? (Or maybe he couldnt get hold of any lasers to for his sound effects)
