I might be, but depends on work. I'm driving up from work (Cambridge) to Brum afterwork on Thurs, hence my seat rather than standing.

I've have a meeting at work on Friday that I can't move, so it depends on the work load whether I have time to drive up to Manchester on the Friday night.

I need to sell one standing ticket for the Birmingham gig on May 15th. But it says on my booking confirmation it can only be collected at the venue. Which is impossible for me now since I am in Norway. I am going to the Amsterdam gig instead.

Does anyone know what I should do, contact Ticketmaster maybe?

Says this:

Your tickets will be held at the venue collection point. Please see the relevant venue page for more details. You will need your booking reference number and the credit card used to make the booking to collect your tickets.

Best give them a call. As it stands, the credit card must be presented to collect it.

Hi everyone!

I'll be there on Thursday. Anyone fancy meeting up for a beer or two pre show? I have wonderful cheap seats- wish i was standing but couldnt take the whole day off work to get up there early enough to bag a good spot and sadly Im not 6'5!

Org me if interested in meeting.

I was at the Shep Bush Empire gig earlier in the year and met some lovely people in the queue as well as in the place itself - high tenning a keith i think whilst croning to colonized mind and Dreamer! (No one around us had clearly heard these songs as we were the only ones singing) and the lovely husband and wife i chatted to at the bar post gig before leaving for the tube.

Be nice to meet a few Orgers........I'll even get the beers in! smile

Im serious about hooking up with fellow Orgers. I am happy to give my mobile via an org note - it would b nice to meet a few of you going.

The sheps bush experience was made even more special for the banter and friendship established in the queue and latterly in the venue itself.

Dont be shy. I am just a regular guy, shall be with 3 others who are all virgin prince concerteers.

Despite my offers my Org note remains empty.....could give a guy a complex! lol.

Anyway, if this fails and i dont meet any of you, can i take this opportunity to wish you a great experience. He'll pull out all the stops given its his first and he'll know the reviewers of the nationals will have their pen poised!

1st show 2007........awesome

If its anywhere near the Shep bush gig.....we're in for a beautiful night, ya'll say! wink

I'd love to meet up but, due to babysitting arrangements, probably won't get there until about 7.30 which only gives enough time to neck one beer before getting to the seats to shake and jibber like an over-excited teen in anticipation. If all Orgers wore a headscarf tied at the front we could high-five though?

Morning!

Never been to this venue before, nor have I been to a ticketed, standing Prince concert in years...

No idea what time to try and join the queue...silly early or just 'normal' early, LOL

If anyone cared to share their ideas on how early is 'early', well, that would be lovely biggrin eek

Given it's a mid-week and working on the presumption most (NORMAL!) people will head there after work and or post-work refreshments, I hope normal early will be sufficient for a good spot. Normal early for me should be around 4.20 (or whenever the train from Glasgow actually arrives, as opposed to the semi-mythical timetables the train operators pretend to operate to!)

I think there will be a sizeable queue by 4pm. If I wasn't bringing the wife I'd be in the Standing queue about 2pm to guarantee seeing the whites of their eyes. Hardcore Prince fans may only number 100-200 on Thursday but that's still enough to stop you getting near the front.

Looks like there'll be a catwalk thingy sticking out into the room too so getting near the end of that might be a good idea.

Hmm...thanks!

I think my perception of queinq has been slightly skewed by February's gigs, where the queing was more about getting in at all than it was about being near the front.

Which is where I intend to be, having not had the best spots/seats for quite a while.

This probably means I'll just have to get there at the reasonable end of silly-early and see whether I need to plant myself immediately or go off and enjoy the...whatever they have there.

I could do with a 'queue' buddy for Monday. There'll be a queue to get in to the forum which is bars etc, then a queue to get into the standing ground floor area. I'm worried I'll lose my place if I need the loo! I'm going tomorrow seated so hoping to suss it all out then. Its just too expensive for anyone who doesn't like him to come with me. I'm too old for all this drama! the front of the stage is quite big and there is a section sticking out so a fair few should make it front row. What do you estimate? Queue from 3 to be in with a shot?

I've had some crazy visions of going down at 0900 or something like I would have 'in the olden days' but, erm, judging by everything I've read, I might be getting a bit carried away lol

If everyone else seems to think 1400-1600 is a good idea...maybe 0900 is TOO early excited
