3rd eye girl and PE in light of UK tour

One thing I was pleased with on the tour tonight was that it was still a 3rd eye girl concert. They opened with Funk n roll, played PBL, Fixurlifeup plectrum electrum and slow let's go crazy. Plus they are all over the merch - centre stage of the programme, on t-shirts and posters.

Compared to previous arena tours Prince is showcasing a new album more than he has done since maybe musicology, if not the gold tour (albeit not as full on radical as the gold tour was); he's playing full versions of unreleased songs in an arena setting.

In light of this I think he still wants to release Plectrum electrum and he obviously believes in the merit of the songs and the whole vibe. I don't know how this will pan out, but I think the post PR30 announcement hype where people were writing the obituaries of 3rd eye girl were premature.

How do you think this will pan out this year? Double album with the edm style CD? Two separate releases - maybe one as Prince and one as 3eg?

Prince hasn't "Showcased" an album since Rainbow Children on the ONA tour. He usually only played two songs a night for Musicology. And he's been talking about a new album release since 2012, so until it's released, I pretty much am not holding my breath. The PR reissue, I do believe in...hopefully before July.
