Was it just the beginning of the Max? They played the full version at electric ballroom right?

They have to play it on Monday at Bham, along with the breakdown. Sounds like a great show tonight though!

It was played in full at koko. best song of the night.

I'm really suprised that The Breakdown is not being played and Fallinlovetonite not being part of the sampler set.

Yes I'm wondering how long "the max" was and also if he left the stage much... He practically never left the stage last night. Very Springsteen... The encores and get tiresome. Sounded like an amazing gig tonight.

Mine too! Have to say it was a great atmosphere. .. loved it especially when he came out at the end as house lights were on and let go of some balloons! He seemed to genuinely feel the love and kind of a bit bashful at the love. Amazing show!!!

A phenomenal show, possibly the best I've seen him do. I was in block 102, next to two great guys from Tunbridge Wells (hello if you're reading this) and the atmosphere was brilliant. Fantastic setlist with a good mix of hits & more obscure numbers, and Prince was on blistering form - during the "Purple Rain" solo he looked like he was in another place. Still not sure who the silver-clad woman is who sings occasionally & otherwise sits on a settee to the left of the stage playing with a walking stick. Too many highlights to mention. Special monent: When I noticed Prince's shoes light up when he walks, just like a kid's. Roll on Leeds on Friday!

UN F@KIN REAL!! it was a brilliant concert, the man didn't stop from the moment he got on stage until he finished. (music tech alert) I was very jellous of their purple Mesa Boogie cabs lol! Couldn't tell what the amp heads were though.

We were about 10/12 deep from the middle and had a great view. Everyone around us had a brilliant time just as we did.

Hello to the two couples from Blackpool we were having a laugh with in the arena!! Hope you made it to your train on time!!

Another great show! Was some crazy drunk girl who was
pushing in and caused at least one of the fights and then
there was a guy behind me who got punched ( I think by another girl)
during 'Purple Rain'. Was very shocked to see that Prince didn't seem
to be wearing any underwear ( I wasn't looking for this, someone
pointed it out to me- honest) and even more shocked to hear Prince sing
'Mother F****r' during one of the songs ( don't know which one though).
I gasped and asked the girl in from of me if I'd heard correctly and she too
was gobsmacked and confirmed that he had.
The band are great, especially Donna. Prince's voice seems to improve
with time. He was in a great mood and seemed to be really enjoying himself.
Would imagine Leeds and Glasgow are in for a similar treat!

Absolutely fantastic tonight!!! The Ride was incredible. Managed to get on the barrier in front on the right hand block. Couldn't believe how close I was to him when he came over lol He had a bit of a costume change before Purple Rain too.

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

That's the thing about Prince. He is so diverse and we all love different stuff. I much preferred tonight to last night. I loved the Ride & Love Bizarre and thought he came over as soo much more focused from the start tonight. Just brilliant?

Anyone have any idea who Bacofoil Girl is? Prince Vault says Marissa from yesterday - but a quick search don't find owt. Calming down a bit after tonight with a glass of wine...I was sat today, and not in the standing area. I know others have the said the atmosphere was better yesterday but it seemed better to me today. I went and chilled with the standing queue and there was more of a party vibe. My ears didn't ring yesterday - so maybe it was louder today. I would say I also liked the setlist more today - but I know it's a matter of opinion, today had a bit more of a feel of the Academy nights in Feb. I certainly got hotter and sweatier tonight, and dancing like fuck in the seating - and most around me were (block 115)...really vibed off the three people in front of me and so good to be around others that appreciate and know the songs and get the same tingle when you hear it coming in.

.

Ok - so Prince Vault now has the girl down as Marissa Jack - still really none the wiser and cannae be arsed investigating it further. There was another sofa on our side (the Ida side) with another lady on it, not sure who she was either, althought she passed him his hat, but doubt he has a specific person just for that...

So P just tweeted Ariana Pelican is the woman who sang Paisley Park.

However, Funkenberry just tweeted it's Marissa Jack which is correct as you can google the name and she comes up.

There were two ladies at the Birmingham concert as well, they both went to one side of the stage before the gig started and waved and took pictures of the crowd. One was sitting on a sofa on the left of the stage, I didn't see the other again. Were the ones you saw two young black ladies?

Liking this post.. Only cause I didn't go to the Saturday show.. But still wish I had.
Just had to mention there was some awful drunk people near us on Friday in the standing section that we had to say something too. Also some women having a big banter during "empty room" and the piano set taking about being "started on". Like someone else said - only in Manchester!
