Seeing as Laura Mvulas violinist favourited and retweeted a comment that the Prince show could be much shorter ....I'm guessing it will be

Especially as she seems to hint they've been moved up from just supporting to, as we said, sharing the bill as co-headliners....I reckon an hour each

I always used to think it must be so boring going to someone like Katy Perry with the same setlist everynight...but at least you know what your going to get and that it's the same value for money. Since Feb this whole thing has left be feeling quite different towards Prince because, from my experience it's just been a cash grab. Those at the decent shows in Feb won't get it but that KOKO gig was just one big rush to get through the bare minimum. Tomorrow will be 1:45 absolute max. Mark my words [Edited 5/18/14 14:37pm]

Next tour let me know which shows your going to and i will avoid, lol

Hi. Am a new member. So hi to everyone. Lol. I saw prince on 15th at lg with a mate and was amazing!! Bit randomly i've got myself i standing ticket for the 19th. Be a lot closer to stage smile my mate wouldnt pay again and nobody else can make it. So goin on my own . Anybody else doin that? Drop me a message. Maybe meet up there! I plan gettin there about 4.30pm.

I'm not going Monday (went yesterday & going to Leeds) but I almost always go alone (my husband really doesn't like Prince & needs to babysit). However, I can honestly say that going alone has meant that I've met some of the nicest, most enthusiastic, like-minded people ever and whether its talking to a first-timer or someone who has been going to see him for 30 years it's great to hear the stories. If you don't get anyone on here to meet you then just talk to those around you in the queue....you'll be amazed at their friendliness.

Im in a similar position - going up on my own. Just bought a seated ticket to see Prince in block 5. I was hoping to find cheaper seats but couldn't find any.

I went to Manchester 16th on my own - it was fine! Soon got chatting to the people around me, everyone was lovely, time pre gig passed quickly. Show was amazing and was so glad I did it. None if my friends are real fans, and couldn't afford to treat them at these ticket prices so decided to just go for it. Still on Cloud 9 and was so lucky to see him.

would you still complain if mvula is on stage from around 7pm to 7:45 then they turn around the stage and prince comes on at 8:30-8:45?

.

If she comes on at 8pm, and even does 45 mins, its still 8:45 when he will come on, He didnt come on till that time on Thursday anyway did he? So seems like bit of a bonus to have the support. If sound checks are all done early doors, there is no reason that Prince cannot come on straight after she finishes and the sound engineers will have all the levels already sorted and ready to switch over to Prince.

No I mean he will have his sound check early on, before her, the sound engineers will set levels for each of them and once she finishes they will already have Prince's marked on the mixing desk ready for him coming on. wont have to be any turn around for the stage maybe just a curtain infront of the 3EG Set. I doubt having her as support will take any time off the show he had planned because he has been on stage between 8:30-8:45. The manchester one Friday was only around 2 hours, Saturday about 2.5 hours.

I spoke to my brother yesterday who lives by Brum (I moved away years ago). He told me that he'd been offered some corporate tickets for free for tonight but had turned them down!! I've been into Prince for about 25 years and have seen him countless times so you can imagine my response! I asked him why he hadn't accepted at least one for me as I'd have travelled and he said it never crossed his mind. GUTTED! bawl Don't know if I should speak to him ever again biggrin

Yes, Ppenguin I think it will be fine...he wasn't onstage in Manchester until around 8.45 on the 16th and even though this show wasn't as long as Saturday's, it was still a full on, brilliant gig and I really didn't feel short changed. There is ample time for her to do her set really.

Good luck all who are travelling today, it will be worth it, hang in there, have a great night!

Still an 8pm start I believe but no official word on how long Laura Mvula will have as co-headliner. Whispers of an hour for her, stage turn around, then Prince for whatever is left

But that's just Chinese whispers

Any sign of touts about? And sounding a tad naive what would the likelihood be of me getting there at sayyyyy 6:30pm/7:00pm and grabbing a steal?

I would seriously consider heading up if this could happen?
