Extremley good gig. I felt it took the opening four tracksto finally get going. Dont think the sound intially helped. Certsinly didnt sound loud enough During Kiss and You've Got The Look. Was much better when the lights were dimmed too. Felt it helped the atmosphere.I was stood down the front, very central - initially about 15 rows from the front, behind an extremly tall guy. Moved about three rows back, when istumpled accross an annoying group of pissed women, who insisted on screaming and started being rude to people they barged into. I met a group of lovely people, who were all danced together and funk'd out.Prince was on top form. Seems like he certainly loves playing with 3rd Eye Girl. I really missed Forever in My LIfe and Bambi from the early Acadmy gigs. But still, I'm absolutely buzzing.Think I'm going to have stab at Leeds next Friday albeit I'm suppposed to be at another gig.

Since Lovesexy, I've seen Prince well over 30 times (including some pretty phenomenal after shows (Bagerly's Warehouse, Emporium, BBC Broadcasting House live on Radio One, Indigo Bar etc) and I have to say I thought tonight's show was pretty strong. Similar set list to previous night but opened with Let's Go Crazy instead of Funk 'n Roll which he played later. I thought Something In The Water was incredible, beginning on the piano, turning into a full band song, involving the crowd and then THAT solo! The Beautiful Ones was very raw and emotional, Kiss was the best version I'd heard for a long while. His vocal sounded amazing throughout. He also played Plectrum Electrum (the song) in full which seriously rocked out. I could hear his voice without amplification on several occasions too while he held the mic to the audience and others near me also commented on this. It was pretty surreal to be so close again. Also I thought he was in a great mood and was clearly enjoying himself a lot. Tons of smiling and joking around with his body language. I also got lucky and sneaked a couple of very full on close ups with my iPhone using the button on the side without looking at the screen. Got tickets for tomorrow too so I'm pretty stoked about it to be honest. Up early so gonna get some sleep now. [Edited 5/16/14 19:12pm]

I was block 108, I stood up and danced the whole time, couple of girls in front doing the same but everyone else were stiff as boards.

You can only see what is in front of you. I was stood right next to the security on the cusp of the dance floor, so all I can do is quote Ludacris: "I'm as stiff as a board, y'all shook like maracas (2003)"

In fact, I've only just remembered he played Under The Cherry Moon on keyboard. My lady turned to me and said "I know this one."

I turned back to her and said "yes, this is what black and white sounds like."
