May - Hit and Run Part II - UK and mainland Europe

Long time lurker, first time poster. I was out of the country for the Feb shows so nothing will stop me getting to Birmingham or Leeds!

EDIT: I notice there's nothing on Twitter or anything and that the Guardian 'understands' Prince will return so sorry if I got excited and jumped the gun.

Mmm, what are the chances he/they will still be doing concerts at the end of June when I am in the country?

Reckon we're talking arena dates here (like LG in Birmingham, O2 in London) so advance booking, I reckon - but not too advance.

LG Arena available on the 15th May in Brum, also that date has been freed up at the Institute in Digbeth after a cancellation. Hope it happens biggrin

I think you mean the *cough* ~M.E.N ~ arena *cough*

sorry, force of habbit. I cant stand it when people call it the phones 4 u arena, it sounds so stupid.

I hope he does do the M.E.N though, more chance of getting tickets for people and hopefully not as expensive.

Looks like im gonna be blowing all of my student finance on a ticket though. Hooray!

Confirmed for Leeds Arena on their own website.

http://www.firstdirectarena.com/venue-information/latest-news/article/rock-funk-pop-icon-prince-comes-to-the-first-direct-arena/754/

One of the greatest musical superstars of our time, Prince, will be coming to the first direct arena this May as one of only three other UK arena dates. This is the first time in nearly 20 years the icon has played in Yorkshire, last performing in the region back in 1995.

Tickets for the Friday 23 May 2014 show go on sale this Friday.

Prince Rogers Nelson has sold over 100 million records, has had 10 platinum albums and thirty top 40 singles. He has also won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, seven Grammies and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.

Truly one of a kind, and the man behind hits such as The Most Beautiful Girl in the World, Kiss, Purple Rain, and Little Red Corvette, Prince is one of the most successful recording artists of all time, and is renowned for his spectacular live shows.

Speaking ahead of his first direct arena show, General Manager Ben Williams said “We are delighted that we have been included on the tour for such an iconic artist. This show is not to be missed, it’s an amazing opportunity to see one of the biggest names in music in Yorkshire for the first time in nearly two decades.

To book tickets for this event, visit www.firstdirectarena.com, phone 0844 248 1585, or book your tickets from the first direct arena box office, located in Trinity Leeds Customer Service Lounge, from 9.00am Friday 4 April.

Are these 3rdEyeGirl only then? I would have assumed he'd bring the NPG for arena shows.

Oh man, he's back in the flippin' UK!

Even though I'm well excited, I think I'll sit these out. Now matter how good they are, I don't think these arena shows could be quite as good as an expereince compared to the club/theatre shows earlier this year.

Also, good news that 3EG is still a going concern. Could these dates be tying in with an album release?
