Look here:
So what could go wrong?
And how difficult would it be to find the cause and fix it?
Even if it was difficult: why no spare(s)? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. |

Finally...after 3 attempts I finally got to see the purple one. The evening started with dessa which was a little too mellow for a Saturday night IMO but still put on a good show. After they were finished people were allowed to stay in the main room which was a big change from Friday so I knew we were in for something good. After what seemed to be an eternity of the sound men checking and rechecking 3rdeyegirl's gear the lights went very dark at around 1:30. The girls came ou and jammed for about 5 minutes on an unknown song to me and then Prince appeared holding the new 3rdeyegirl album on vinyl! Very nice black and white artwork with a cool foldout showing the girls. I thought he was goin to give it to someone for a second but handed it to one of his techs instead. Once prince grabbed his guitar he immediately launched into Bambi...one I my all time favorite songs so I was in heaven. After Bambi I heard the opening notes of yet another of my favorite songs...Peach! Halfway thru the song Prince realized that one of he guitars was out of tune which started a string of technical difficulties. Donna actually tuned both hers and his guitars before the show so I felt really bad for her because I knew she would more than likely get an ass chewing later. Once peach was finished they launched into So Far So pleased which sounded awesome...especially with the guitars now in tune. . Fr the next song the band went into a funk jam with Prince on the keyboard. He dueled with Hannah back and forth then wen back and put on his guitar and nothing...no sound. He proceeded to mess with his pedals and ended up giving up and taking over the drums from Hannah then moved to the bass for a while. After he put down the bass he left the stage and came back for a second then made a cut throat gesture signaling the show was over. All in all an awesome 30 or so minutes and worth the hassle of missing him 3 other times. I just hope the next time his techs do a better job making sure all the gear is ready to go. Finally, I managed to peak at the setlist from a distance and noticed there were at least 10 songs...ugh what might have been but that's Paisley for u. [Edited 4/6/14 0:40am]
Maybe oneday I'll make it 2 Paisley, hope everyone enjoyed jamming with Prince! ♥ Feeling Purple Rain...Don't hold on 2 the pain, hold on 2 the memories ♥

Thanks for the report! So the album actually exists!
Or a mock-up of an album cover, anyway.

Wondering if this will continue...
I had fun Friday night. Cool to experience Paisley Movie Night. The video footage from Manchester was nice, fun to watch Liv on Letterman at Paisley etc... Wish I had been there for a Prince performance of course, Saturday sounded interesting but what i really wish i had been there for was the previous Saturday! Alas I was in Colorado. Empty Room! Beautiful Strange! Last time I heard him do those live was probably at the 2002 Celebration shows! Oh well, we'll see if anything happens this weekend |

Have anyone seen those Rig rundown videos on youtube where guys like Flea, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Tom Petty, Joe Perry and dozens of other legends go trough their gear. For example the guitarist from RHCP has about 100 pedals but in a case of failure any single pedal can be shut out of the circuit and in extreme case the signal can bypass the whole set. What also is common to all of these guys and their techs is that they have multiple similar sets on stage. One goes bust, 5 second swap to another unit and on with the show. You should think that someone like prince would have this kind of setup at his homefield? |

Prince risk his "Masterpiece" pedals of being stolen if he duplicates them. He has been stolen from b 4. Stop trying to change his set ups and be happy he is still here to play with them... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

The pedals are documented and available.
So why bother?

That is the reason to not get a backup set?
