You do one show per tour?! Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Choosing from the Tours I have actually attended, the best I have seen have been on:
1. Parade 86 2. SOTT 87 3. Lovesexy 88 4. Hit 'n'Run 2014 - SBE + Manchester Both nights
No doubt if I would have got to a Purple Rain/1999 tour gig, they would have been in the above.
One of the most exciting things about going to one of the Top 3 tours I have listed was that you had an exceptional album (Parade/SOTT/Lovesexy) I listened to these albums over and over upon release and the anticipation/excitement I got waiting for the a tour to be announced and then attending the gig was part of the fun, seeing how he could perform the album live.
I really enjoyed the recent Hit n Run tour, it felt like Prince really engaging with the fans and he seemed to be enjoying himself, but it never had that excitement of listening to a great album performed live, like the 80's gigs had.

1 = Indigo2 aftershow 18/8/2007 1 = Manchester Academy 21/2/14 3 = One Nite Alone, manchester apollo 2002 4 = Nude Tour Wembley Arena 1990 (my first gig, front row seats!)
Followed very closely by Act II Birmingham 1993. Nude Tour just shaded it as it was my first experience of seeing Prince live.
I went to that Aftershow, it would be my 2nd favourite p gig ever. Also after reading these I remembered how good Hop Farm was even though I lost my place near the front at the end cause I needed a wee lol "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

You mean first as in first of 2014 or first as in 88 aftershow?.
Both shows were excellent, but I'd have to go for 88 because Just My Imagination was a joy to witness. [Edited 2/28/14 18:43pm] .

[Edited 2/28/14 18:43pm] I was being sarcastic....I meant the first of the 2 KOKO gigs a few weeks ago....the one with the bare bones set list that tried to finish after 80 minutes and 17 songs, eventually lasted a mighty 90 minutes and then we were kicked out to make way for a 2nd 2.5 hr 40 song show. I think it was probably the worst Hit N Run show of the lot, it was certainly the shortest and most expensive (in terms of time/songs per £)...and, unfortunately for me, the one I went to. Should have just ambled up casually about an hr before doors opened instead of queuing all day. Was jus thinking somebody else must have been but it doesn't appear in anyone's top 4 so far [Edited 3/1/14 2:55am] [Edited 3/1/14 3:07am] P-p-e-n-g-u-i-n......the P is silent

I was at Act II Birmingham 1993, the first night anyway. Great concert - I remember 'Prince' falling over when he got off the trapeze and of course it was Mayte. No way Prince would ever fall over! lol "I'm much too hot to be cool"
