It was £70 for a small venue for 90 minutes right?

What was the average show length in 2007 at the O2?

Didn't the best tickets there sell for £200 plus?

I agree it was great to see him in a small venue and up close ...but it was a bit of a sinking feeling, after queuing for 11 hours, to be told 'better hurry up, you're only getting an hour' and already know that you would be out on your ear to make way for another lot (queue Countdown clock music in your head).Like I said great show (not a patch on the £25 indigo after show though) but it only stretched to 90 minutes because there was a bit of a protest and people ouldn't leave when the stage manager tried to get rid if us after 80 minutes and so he did 2 more quick Sampler songs. When the people after you get twice as long and they've not been there half the time and you read reviews that the every other show (apart from acoustic) have been over 2 hrs its hard not to feel like you've got a rough deal COMPARED to everyone else. Our entire set list was what every show had before he did 'extras'. 19 songs compared to 36 just over an hour later doesn't seem particularly fair...why not 2 shows of 2 hours instead of 1 of 80/90 and one if 2.5-3hrs.

If you always compare what you get with what others get you're destined for an unhappy life, I think. I'd just be thankful I got 90 minutes watching Prince in a small venue, with a new approach to his music.

That said, I was right at the front of the second show cool

True...but there is a bit of a difference when your show is half the length of every other show on the tour smile I think I'm just a bit disappointed because I knew I had 1 chance of seeing a show on this tour and it just had to be the shortest and highest £ to song/time ratio ...just my luck smile

The O2 was a typically brittisch-run ticket situation. You know what I mean.

The Indigo2 shows were relatively cheap.

The Viage aftershows were (just) 100 euros in 20ten and the second show lasted around 3 hours or so.

I.e.: £200 plus for a non-black market price is absurd.

See my comments about the 3121 Las Vegas pricing in that same direction on the now defunct HQ site.

Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

My recollection of the 02 ticket prices was that they were first advertised for £31.21 but then it later transpired that the best seats were being sold with a drink or as part of an Event Travel package for 5 or 6 times that. Closer to the date of each concert unsold tickets reverted back to £31.21 so many were available for that if you were patient.

The aftershows were good value but there was no guarantee that Prince would show up and public transport was a bit of a nightmare late at night there.

Would of course prefer if Prince always did a 3 hour show like The Cure seem to do these days but don't think he is that kind of 'artist'.

I've just heard from a friend @ Wembley Arena that they are currently arranging for him to play there March 8th.

I don't know how true this is though so don't quote me!! wink

That's a big place to fill at short notice...12,000 or thereabouts. And that's a hell of a queue for tickets on the door biggrin The Arena may want it, and may be trying to arrange it, but can't see it myself...

Funkberry annoucing he's doing the Arsenio Hall show next week (in the US) so if he hasn't gone already, he's started packing.

All of my hang-ups have gone. How I wish you felt the same.

Lots of rumours on twitter today, that Prince is heading home today. Did Prince say anything on stage last night that gave any indication on what his plans may be?

I think its safe to say YES hit and Run is over.

RIP - you were a memorable few weeks
