Just been tipped off by a friend - tickets for The Brits on Ticketmaster - £70 but I can't get page to load properly so not sure whether there are any available or not

Single seats seem to be popping up sporadically during the day. Last minute returns I suppose. Just had the option of one in the penultimate row in block 416!

How could you pass that up! lol

RIP sad

Tickets available for the Saturday as of 1 minute ago. Had 2 in basket, but at £77 each including booking, then I'd need 2 tanks of petrol and a hotel, so would be looking at nearly £300. Seems a bit much when I saw him fo £10 the other day. lol

It looks like only one date went on sale? I am sure there will be more.

I don't think any of us were expecting a hit-and-run ticket sale. Must have been over in what, 5 minutes? I am beaming though cos I got some and now can finally take my Dad to see the man play live!

Bit apprehensive about Brixton. If enough is made about it and it will be, it will be the most rowdy, unpredictable crowd and anything could happen.Anything could happen anywhere obviously but jeezus, Someone was shot at a Nas Concert.I'm just saying, Brixton is the most dangerous of all the venues thus far and combine that with shoddy ticketing and badly organised queues. It could be a disaster to be involed with.

Answer me this, have you ever been to Brixton? That place is mostly now like a latte drinking, young urban professional, yummy mummy playground compared to what it was years ago. So yeah, stop scaremongering. Some parts are still dodgy but making brixton sound like a south american crime ridden favela is a bit much aint it ? Calm down my dear. [Edited 2/18/14 17:55pm] [Edited 2/18/14 17:56pm]

have you ever been to a South American crime ridden favela? It's no different to Manchester and nobody minds that he's playing there. wink lol

Somebody stepped on my toe once in Manchester. Never going there again.

Surely two shows per night. First gig will be online sales, second show will be queue.

4000 people in a queue along a busy main road on a fri / Sat night... I can't see the police liking it too much

Seems likely. First show gets cut short and pisses off all the advanced ticket buyers.

so 2600 people with tickets at a gig getting chucked out to let another 2600 people waiting in line all day get in? over 5000 people at a gig and half of them have no tickets? that's just madness which is why there are two shows on two nights

Ha! True though.

I am selfishly hoping there is only the one show* each night. On Friday I will finally get to take my Hendrix-loving father to his first ever Prince show, and so I'm hoping for a decent length gig.

Devastated to come home from work to the news that tickets have been sold for this weekend's gigs, I was prepared to wait in line for hours and had a hotel room booked but not sure whether to bother now as I won't be able to get there until about 3.30 and I'm guessing the queue will already be massive by then and with the ticket sales who knows how many will get in on the door

Well this toiur has been riddled with madness! lol Although who's to say there'll be 2600 people outside waiting in a queue? Did any of the London shows have a queue that long?

And given a lot of people will have got tickets online anyway, then that reduces the size of the queue too.

Let's not forget SBE holds 2,000 and it didn't have 2,000 more queueing outside it. For those going, I do hope it's just one show and you get three hours worth of Prince and 3rdeyegirl and everyone gets in. That's the ideal scenario, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some twist. Maybe there'll be an aftershow in Manchester. Who knows.

Was planning on driving down all the way from Aberdeen and queue for tickets for Friday! Still worth it? And chances that he'll definitely do a 2nd or 3rd show if fans have made the effort to wait for him?

Really wanna still make it happen but taking other along and don't want them to kill me for dragging them to Manchester for nothing! Any thoughts would be great? I'm new on here.

think about it logically. 2600 inside who have to come out. if they did a second show there would be a reasonable expectation that there would be enough people to fill or at least half fill the venue again. so you gotta get 2600 people out and then another 2600 or so people back in. that's madness. it was crazy at EB and koko with about half those numbers. they did 2 shows at those venues as they had the place for one night. instead in manchester its more organised and doing 2 shows over 2 nights. SBE was announced on the day, a few hours beforehand and line up for tickets. manchester was announced last friday and then tickets sold in advance. it's a different setup. i don't expect an aftershow either as the shows are small as they are, and the size of many aftershows. indigo2 was about 2285 capacity or something for example. so far on this tour there haven't been any aftershows as thats what normally happens after a huge show, not a small one

I think he will add a 3rd and 4th show today. Not announcing that tickets were on sale especially when a lot of people missed it watching the Brits to see him was a bit weird and sneaky.. I really hope sat and sun are part of a small residency at the Academy... We will C

Yes to putting tix online
No to not pre announcing to give people a chance

I think the "sneakiness" is to stop touts. Like someone said earlier on here the touts have got some tickets but not as many as they would have normally due to the surprise sale. Thats good.

I have managed to get tickets so I am far happier travelling from Cardiff to Manchester tomorrow and staying at an hotel than I would have been if I decided to go to London queuing for 10-14 hours

Going to make a day of it, have a few drinks and enoy the concert. Thats what its all about. The whole package

Anything is possible i guess but i really can't see that happening. Just my humble opinion.
