Well I am speechless after last night and I really feel like I've had my fix for this tour....

Cannot for the life of me believe the length of it and the encores!!! Even bloody missed the last one as I had to catch the train home, but to be honest I feel I had had more than my fair share of enjoyment so no drama there.

Met some great people yesterday who in my drunken state I managed to get my nerd on with.

Excellent show

Oh and completely seperate note:

NILE ROGERS HAS PUT A TWEET OUT SAYING HE WANTS TO SEE PRINCE WITH KIRAN TWEETING BACK THAT SHE'S EMAILING HIM BACK...

People should be in for something special tonight I feel!

Me too man. I'm toasted. Gutted I had to duck out after Bambi in the second show, but at the time I thought it may have been over anyway. To be honest my ears where shot by that point and my train was off in 30, so took a runner to Kings Cross. Had a great time cool

Chops is now officially retiring from this tour! Itch well and truly scratched thanks very much! Saw SBE last week - immense.

Queued from around midday yesterday with wife and limped back into bed around 5 ish this morning. 2 hours later up and into the office for my annual review with boss!

Feeling bizzarely devoid of any emtion - in shock I think from 2 shows of pure funk and sleep deprivation.

Utter standouts for me first show - Purple Rain - got to see it sung with my wife alonside me for the first time ever and I loved the way he kept coming back for more.

Show 2 was stellar - the love we make was spine tingling, U got the Look was great fun and train in vain was WOW!

Big props to Dre - great to meet you in the queue - for both shows!!!

Also great fun in the queue with the brothers from Brighton - you made queuing a pleasure although I was definitely the official 729!!!!

If you havent seen this tour DO IT - its breathtaking and the most energy he's had since 1995.

Likewise sir, was a pleasure! I hear you man, I am shot to say the least!!!

So glad we queued up again for sure though!

Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Glad you got in boltybabe. It adds further weight to my earlier question though... how did people get to see both shows? I arrived about 7.15 and the queue was around 900, you a little later at 8pm and only just got it.. how did the people who weren't in the queue for at least another 90 minutes get in without pushing in?? Anyone?

I was wondering the same thing. There were alot of people behind us, further than i could see and that was before 1st show came out.
To answer someones earlier question, there were people filmimg and taking photos all over the place!

from princevault.com

delighted for them!

...anfd maybe answers th question above

  • At 11.15 PM the earlier announced third 'midnight' show was confirmed to take place via Koko's twitter account, just as people were proceeding inside for the second show. However with only about 350 people waiting in queue for the last show it was first announced the show would now be free of charge. Around midnight however, with some people leaving show 2 all 350 people waiting outside were let in duringStratus to see the last encores of show 2, free of charge. And no third show was played.

Ronnies. It had to happen. People brought their own sharpies....gonna get messy.

The first 200 have stamps too. So line jumpers got to chance.

This is why venues should be giving out some sort of slip or wristband. Writing on hands too easy to fake. Good that they're stamping too I guess. Hope some orgers get in. Like that Ronnie's aren't totally indulging him too and are insisting some of their members get in.

Queue at 8pm last night, saw no security until we got to door. No numbering, had no idea if we'd get in or not.
Have a good one if you get in tonight!

Is £35 confirmed?? Trying to decide if it's still worth heading down there or if it's already too many people queuing!

Have the days he's playing in Manchester been alluded to yet?

I've booked a hotel for Saturday night on the off chance. Now how can I get out of work on Sunday?.....hmmm

Yeah it did. It's Friday and Saturday. In my opinion the likely venues are: Albert Hall, Gorilla, Ritz, Manchester Academy or The Deaf Institute.

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

POLITE REQUEST: Please DO NOT go to Manchester if you've been to any of the London gigs. Its our turn. Thanks.
