It has a customer number & transaction Number printed on ticket, so they could be doing a lookup on the Database to link them to original order/customer.
We do similar when dispatching orders from a warehouse, so then the original order is updated to state dispatched and triggers an email to the customer with courier details. | |

It's easy for me to say, as i'm not going this weekend, but I would be hugely surprised if they don't let everyone in who has a ticket.
Isn't it highly possible that your mother bought you tickets for your birthday? Surely, if you can buy four tickets at a time???
If they check everyone, it will take longer to get everyone in than the show will be anyway and he'll be playing Bambi, on the third encore by that point.

Does anyone know if the pre bought tickets are seat numbered, and if so does that mean people buying at the door will only get seats at the back of the venue? Also if its general standing room would pre ticket holders be let in first so people who've waited all day outside go in after and at the back? I'm thinking of queuing at door but don't want to be at the back! | |

At the SBE the band came on before Prince and asked the crowd for no photography, so you risk being ejected if you use a camera, security are watching the crowd. | |

Folks taking pictures will be asked to stop with the threat of being thrown out. He really doesn't like pictures being taken and posted 2 rather huge security guys up on stage to watch the crowd at the SBE. [Edited 2/21/14 5:56am] | |

it wouldn't be a Prince show without drama... I bought the tickets through seatwave - in the mad feeding frenzy that was Weds night...because I'm a lifelong fan, and am desperate to see one of these Manchester shows.
I also Orgnoted a couple of people here first who said they had spares here, but nothing was possible.
When Seatwave e-mailed to say that we'd be refused entry I felt really gutted, and this isn't a black and white case of right and wrong.
Prince's latest crusade is about tickets being re-sold...which is unfortunate as most members of the general public now act as touts for high paying gigs...and we also have to acknowledge that many of his fans have bought in bulk to distribute to other Prince fans a lot of the time!!!! No issue with that btw.
How can they enforce this across 2.5k people is a mystery to me, and what will then happen to all of the tickets....will the venue be half empty. I feel like I'm being penalised for trying to get in...I live hundreds of miles away, I can't Q up and don't know anybody who will be Qing up.
Have just spoken to Seatwave who say they sympathise, and that some people have already started accepting refunds. I don't care about the money, I only care about getting in to the show...am really sad about the whole scenario.
