nothing listed - it will be queue on the door. I'm not sure why you are expecting anything different.
Prince and people can not win. He has annouced shows in advance, he has annouced shows outside London, he has played smaller venues then any of us have any right to see him in and yet still people will moan. Get over yourself. | |

because it says on the main koko website , Buy tickets, and a link to the website you said. So you carnt blame people for thinking theres a chance for them to buy online. Perhaps the management could post online that it is tickets on the door only? well it wouldnt hurt would it? |

The page (I've not seen it because the website is down) will be a standard template from which 'buy tickets' will always appear and take you to the ticketweb page.
People seem to lose all sense of intelligence in the potential heat of the battle. I'd love to go tomorrow but I've seen two shows already and have things to do until about 4/5 pm - I imagine with the notice that means I have bob hope. I hope everyone who gets there early, gets a decent show, it's what you deserve. | |

Well I'm not expecting any different (other than queueing and buying at the door), but no harm in checking the club's website and trying to buy tickets when there is a "buy tickets" tab ....is there ? Who's moaning ?? Can't see anyone moaning in last few posts - people just asking whether they can buy in advance through Koko and wandering why their website suddenly crashed !

Actually it was a page about prince gig only and they had edited it to add other info about the show, complete with typos, so it's not impossible that they were going to sell tickets. If they can edit the info they can remove the tab probably. Or write 'tickets on the door'. [Edited 2/15/14 12:48pm] | |

well i am afraid not everyone is as clever as you, I havent been to any shows yet, so there could be a hint of desperation there! but isnt that what this strategy is about? causing frenzy with the fans and media? It certainly working. I just feel you have to be fair , thats all |

Yeah I'm kinda leaning towards the idea that they won't go on sale till tomorrow. I've bitten the bullet and made arrangements in order to be there to queue.

yep Ppenguin - can see how that would be harsh and potentially get a little "messy". Only reason / that's the exact reason I'm looking online - this time there was a couple of days' notice so it made buying online a possibility. It would be a real pain to not have looked online but to just travel down and queue...to find out that all tix had sold online, so I thought it best to check online possibility also, given that there has been all of 2 day's notice for this one. | |

Trouble is though, if they do tix, it immediately closes it off again because you've got to get online, get tix, know they're secure THEN make travel arrangement. The 'unexpected' would be a process that treated us like fucking adults. I'm 46 for christ sakes. This cloak and dagger routine has now unfortunately become the expected. Anyway I think we can safely assume they will not put the tickets onsale online in the middle of the night! Ticketweb ticket sales are aways announced at least the day before saying 9am or 10am on a certain day. Therefore, we can surely assume they won't just put them on sale, with no warning, online when people will already be queueing at the venue. If they did that, he can stick his show cos thats just cruel. What time you all heading down there? | |

I think, in support of queuing, this Is not really much different to Electric Ballroom....they told people where to be for that one too. Gotta take my chances tomorrow at some point I think - I get one trip so hopefully I'm not sent home in tears after being screwed over yet again The KOKO thing does also seem line a template as it says 'doors at 7' followed by 'door times not confirmed' P-p-e-n-g-u-i-n......the P is silent | |

Malloy - I hear ya ! My "expect the...." was typed somewhat sarcastically and frustratedly !
Off Koko topoc - I have a bizarre disliking of Manchester and it's pseudo cool inhabitants (obviously a general sweeping statement, I'm sure there are some nice Mancs !) to the point where I call myself "Mancist".
Birningham is so much nicer as are (generally speaking again) the people - far less attitude and false swagger (founded on nothing at all) and, more importantly, far more central for all UK Prince fans to travel to! But, as is their nature, Midland based fans won't shout about how things should be done in their main city, if not London, so P probably not have thought of playing there this time around ! Still, he did choose to open the European "Gold" tour at the NIA in B'ham city centre in '95 !
Anyway - rambling ! Manchester (!) will probably be my best chance of seeing P this time around. Not missed a tour since Parade and can't let this one slip me by! He's 55 and (excludng Hop Farm) not played here since 2007..........so how long could it be before he returns ??

Yep bedtime. To be fair I did just eat a meal with mrs T and watch the whole of Prisoners (great movie) without checking my phone for updates.
