And there is me hoping it would be cash on the door, first come for 40,000.

He can't do a huge outdoor show for the masses with just 3rdEyeGirl, surely? I'd assume it'd feature the NPG. Similar in format to those Mohegan Sun shows.. open with the NPG, then a 3rdEye-only set in the middle, before bringing the NPG back for the closer.

I'm imagining a Hop Farm style show.. that'd be perfect for Hyde Park in summer.

I don't think he will but then again I don't see why he couldn't? Last summer's festival shows with 3EG seemed to work well enough (albeit with smaller capacity than Hyde Park would be).

I don't get the opinion that 3EG will only suit small venues.I do think that pretty much any band is going to be better suited to an small-ish indoor venue over arena's and outdoor gig the current 4 piece line up of 2 guitars, bass and drums is the classic rock line up. Loads of other bands play outdoor gigs with this configuaration (or with limited additional musicians) so why couldn't Prince?

He can do 3EG stuff but he have to play of of hits as well.

Think £70 would warrant it because fans would get to know some 3 EG stuff before as he drop the album but I expect some won't.

Given how LOUD he was with 3EG on Sunday... I am pretty sure they would have no problem with a huge crowd! Though I agree he'd probably bring a full NPG with hornz etc. for something as huge as a Hyde Park show.

Eye like pretty things, and u're just as pretty as u can b...

@Jacadimus

"sorry where in my tweet did I state these dates are to do with Prince, or am I completely missing something here?"

All his tweets were regarding Prince and then the dates tweet was among them now he has changed his tune...naughty boy me thinks trying to have the exclusive...maybe you wont be trusted with info in future!

I'd take what this guy says with a pinch of salt anyway. He was after all tweeting the 2PM slot for tix last wednesday. It seems like he is in the mix though.

Yes. Jacadimus tweeted the false information on Wednesday about ticket sales at 2pm. I'd consider anything he states with caution.

What a shower of arseholes Seatwave are. That looked like it could have been the the first hint of the news that I, and thousands of others, had been hoping for.

Hate these reseller sites. Getting face value back is fair enough but prices get ridiculous on sites like seat wave. Hope they're nowhere near any official announcements.

Here Here ! He will have no problem selling out 2 or 3 concerts at Hyde Park and it will give him and 3rd Eye Girl huge exposure in readiness for their new album.

It is a no brainer for me but I guess Prince and his management are happy to keep playing to the small amount of fans who can make it to his short notice concerts.

It just doesnt make sense to me at all

If I was his management I would be pushing a 30 year Purple Rain anniversary concert with the whole album being played from start to finish fitted around some new material to promote 3rd Eye Girl.

Huge amounts of money to be made with tickets, merchandise and appearance fee for an Hyde Park gig
