Did the other gigs let people take bags in? If its today, I'm suited and booted and I have my shoulder bag with work stuff in.

I took a largish shoulder bag into SBE & no one questioned it - not even searched.

From London... Cuckoo...!

In my case I leave my bag at work and cram everything into pockets.

A group of us had a percy pig recycable bag outside the electric ballroom which got binned before going in, but I'd imagine you could use a cloakroom of some description venue depending.

Had a look at your website by the way. Man after my own heart! wink

At least some people prepare for something!

Great to read that here...

Unfortunatley, I'm bound by the official secrets act and can't leave my bag at work or unattended anywhere. If I can't take it in with me, I can't go in, otherwise I could be arrested.

Did meet a lot of orgers during those shows though. I'm guessing this would have been in the Slug & Lettuce before the main show?

It was the pub I didn't get to in time. Everyone had made there way in, I think you decided you needed another beer. I'm sure it was you, We had one in the dome, by the outside seats of the curved corner bar nearest the security checks.

Ah, definitely not me. Haven't had beer since I stopped drinking in about 1990. lol

I might as well put my 2 pence in.. I went to work last Thurs, and told my manager I've got to go to London and asked for the day off, drove to camden from Coventry, got in the queue, and got into 2 gigs! - Amazing, drove back Thursday morning and went to work.

Sunday got the announcement, (I was still in bed, with an ulcer in my left eye!) jumped out of bed, no shower and drove like a madman from Coventry, got in the queue with some friends, and great got in near the front., I've seen Prince live over 90 times and these gigs are fresh and blow you away. I can't say they're the best or not because I've had some amazing times over the years, and to be honest I don't know how you guys distinguish performances from years ago, as I just can't anymore!! These gigs are fresh and the vibe Prince is on is really cool and you feel close to him, more aftershow than concert feel.

The rumours going around are total bullshit, there are so many we only seem to remember those that turn out to be true. One guy I know who was at all the gigs told me 3 bits of info over the 2 days that he got from 'sources' and they all turned out to be true. He then told me after the SB gig that he is psychic and had made some predictions! saw

I have only reacted to 'official' news, either from DrFB, Kiran or 3EG. I'm happy to react when it comes from them and only then. I feel for those who've travelled and then not been rewarded, because it isn’t cheap and it’s frustrating I can imagine. So my advice for what it's worth is take the risk to react when it's official, it’s paid off for me so far.

...and by the way I've been told, although I can't reveal my sources there is 'something' happening today or tomorrow latest...remember you heard it here first... nuts

Good luck everyone...

It's possible, I would have been with my girlfriend if it was me. I don't remember hanging around after others had gone though, pretty sure I went in in plenty of time for the show. Maybe someone was impersonating me eek lol

Awesome! We were on the Virgin train from Coventry at 12.11!! Dressed a bit funny obviously because we put on the nearest clothes and raced out of the house before the announcement had even finished.

That's the Raan Bar where the rest of us met up...we were probably there at the same time, as most of us didn't head in to the actual arena until close to show time as we were having such a good time hanging out together.

That was the place. A group of people were using the seating on the outside of the bar that looks onto the entry gates.

i took a rucksack with me as i went straight to the venue on wed and sun. plenty other people did the same. a bloke at camden said he once took a suitcase to the venue. but it depends on venue policy and/or prince's security requests. if it's a tiny place or posher place they might be more sniffy about it, but birds bring handbags full of crap, so i should be allowed to bring a rucksack with desktop computer, rocket launcher and 1980s vhs camcorder stuffed between smelly socks and pants if i want to
