Really, I don't even remember that. lol

Did meet a lot of orgers during those shows though. I'm guessing this would have been in the Slug & Lettuce before the main show?

I do t know London too well for parking so I think I'm going for a safe haven and the tube wherever. Usually park at Stanmore and tube but the car park will be rammed. At least the Westfield is easy to get to an I know how many spaces there are....3083 now incase your wondering

I think thats a good option. Most places seem to be on the West side of London (now watch him announce an o2 gig!). Safe easy parking and access to the central line seems like the right thing to do.

Camden is a bit of a tube trudge but not too bad.

What other 'potential' venues can I plan for?

I think thats the problem with this tour, more established venues are likely to be booked up well in advance apart from a few gaps here or there. I have a funny feeling that the Electric Ballroom will be used again, nothing more than a feeling. Other venues, Hammersmith, Brixton, Koko, Roundhouse there are a few smaller venues also near Tottenham court road. BUT most of those have a lot of bookings.

I see electric ballroom is officially closed on wednesdays and he played there last week so my money would be on another gig there tonight.......clutching at straws now!

Good Morning Everybody! OK, new day, on the lookout now for a gig tonight. Keep me posted Orgers! I'm ready and waiting! x

Will do...I'm 3 hrs away but I reckon I could shave some off that Would u still go for Westfield even knowing that it's not at shep bush empire? biggrin [Edited 2/12/14 0:07am]

I was quite confident yesterday, but I don't think there's much of a chance today...just a feeling. Looking at the weather, which is meant to be horrendous today, and the amount of travel disruption its going to cause, its seems unlikely...

What are you talking about? It's 2 stops from the office and 1 stop from the main line sation to go home. I'd say Camden is perfect. wink

I remember most of the Orgers meet in the Pilot Inn in the park that leads to the O2 Arena, then on to the Raan Bar before the main show which is right by the main O2 entrance. We had most of the tables out the front taken. I don't think the bar is there anymore, or its been renamed sad

Yeah, that's a trudge for sure! As convenient as it is, I don't really want another Ballroom gig anyway.

As with nearly every day this week I've got my Prince surprise gig kit at the ready:

Tube map
Train times to Euston
over night wash kit
Purple blanket for the office
and a wallet of cash

I had a feeling it would be tonight, but then again I have a feeling that it could be tomorrow as it was 3 days between electric ballroom and the Sheperds Bush gig.... Fingers are crossed and waiting at the keyboard

So the Roundhouse, the Electric Ballroom and Bush Hall all have availability tonight. Can we hope for another club gig tonight?

I'm hoping it's tonight! Roundhouse has great capacity, but terrible acoustics, so maybe not there...

The Forum is a good stage and sound...I remember seeing Wendy & Lisa there for the Eroica gig, man that was a looooong time ago!!

Bush Hall would be incredible, but i just can't see it, it's no bigger than a village hall! I saw Bobby Conn there a few years back and stood at the side chatting with his parents!

...wouldn't get your hopes up...if Prince is management are being sensible (rare, I know! smile ) they will take one look at today's weather forecast and likely travel chaos that will ensue (all its takes is the wrong sort of leafs here!!) and give it a miss...

We should start an essential kit list...mine includes:

Waterproof jacket with hood
Gloves
Fully charged iPhone for Twitter and org monitoring
iPad so I can create the illusion of being at work from the queue
Spare shirt for work the morning after
Oyster card charged up

Depends on the size of the venue...somewhere like the SBE should be fine with 2,000. Somewhere smaller might be a bit trickier. But remember, its a work day so people have commitments, and not everyone can drop stuff that quickly to get there. Which will work in your favour if you're aiming for 5.00 arrival

It was the pub I didn't get to in time. Everyone had made there way in, I think you decided you needed another beer. I'm sure it was you, We had one in the dome, by the outside seats of the curved corner bar nearest the security checks.

It's hard to say. I'd say it would decide on the size of the venue and the expected cost of entry. confused

At SBE, everyone in the queue when the doors opened got in, but I am certain that the whole "£70 entry" thing put a lot of people off. If people are expecting a "cheap" gig, there could be a whole lot more people turning up. That said, I hear the weather in London is not so great today, and those with only a casual interest may not want to queue for hours in the rain.
