Edit - I can't remember if I'm thinking ofvthe right groove. I remember the bit that sounded like Johnny B Goode.

Oh god no. I've just booked a train to London on the chance that he's gonna play tomorrow! lol

Keep the faith, they often pack up even if there's a gig at the same place the next day to store the equipment safely... I think it will happen again

If memory serves me correct, at the end of Prince's Paris SOTT opening gig of the European tour, he ended it with the words "Try follow that" or something along those lines.

What I just witnessed tonight has left me speechless. I cannot even see Prince topping this performance, but those that say such words normally end up regretting them, it was that f**king good.

I was at both EB gigs and but this blew them away, almost like he was purposely going into competition with himself.

Regarding the spontaneous element of all this, I actually like it, I was never a great one for the big plans. However I do hope that something bigger with online sales will surface and give others a chance to plan and get a show in.

My Girlfriend and brother both missed the show tonight, both live within an hour of the venue, but didnt want to stand for hours in a queue and get dissapointed, I chose to get in the queue. Even if they had got down there by 7pm they would have still got in, but sometimes it is simply a matter of choice, and naturally things like having the day off and so on.

Prince might decide to do an eight hour marathon show next Saturday, announce it and even give us the perfect setlist, but i wont be able to attend, coz i already have tickets to go see the Foals. Of course if he picks my living room as the venue, I might reconsider. wink

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Many thanks for your update earlier about numbers in Q, once I got your replys I jumped in car from Waltham Abbey, mad dash around M25 to meet my daughter off the M25/M4, got into Sheppard Bush 7:45, parked, ran to the venue, got in about 8:20/30ish, caught end of Shes Always In My Hair onwards.

Great night.

It it wasn't for your update I would have sat at home kicking myself, so cheers fellas smile

A question about updates using a smart phone, I can never get this text thing on the org to work fast when I am out. I have 4G and also brought a tablet with me. Is there some secret to this, I have a Galaxy note 3 BTW.

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

My mind and my senses are too scrambled to even begin comprehension of what I witnessed tonight. It was on that level.

Maybe in a few days I'll come down from the clouds and start to make sense of it all.

Still got to front row though

I was there for that too. Loved every minute of it.

point depot 95, went to both and The Pod (the night before the aftershow). Those two concerts were amazing, I thought he would level the place on the second night, he got the audience into such a frenzy. One key thing about it back then was, i didnt have a rucksack, phone charger, tablet...and so on. Aw, the memories!

The org is painfully slow at the moment anyway, and there is something up with the formatting. But updates wern't really a problem. I have a Windows Nokia 920. Sees to work everywhere.

Review & Set List Of PRINCE & 3RDEYEGIRL’s London Show Feb. 9th!

PRINCE Photo: MTV News

PRINCE & 3RDEYEGIRL just played a show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire inLondon and from what we have been told, it is one of the best concert's people have ever seen! Did we expect anything less?

Mako Bones, who was at the Electric Ballroom's shows had this to say about tonight's show!

Ok tonight was off the hook! 2 1/2 hours!

I queued for 6 hours to see the bomb! Even George Clinton was in the building in a suit so blinging white it was radiating from the balcony!

Gig started at 8 with 3RDEYEGIRL coming center stage and introducing themselves and gave a speech on wanting to connect with you without seeing your phones. Right on sisters!

Then the funk n roll broke loose!

For the full review and s...k here!!!!

Prince came and tore through 10 tracks including
"Chaos & Disorder", "Colonized Mind" and a slew of tracks performed on this tour. Highlight - Prince handing his guitar to me and my girlfriend! I don't know how I will ever forget that!

On the negative side when I propose to her, it will be eclipsed by that! Lol! Thanks a lot Prince!

A beautiful, magical piano medley followed , "The Beautiful Ones", "How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore", "Adore", "Diamonds & Pearls" and "Do Me Baby" to name a few!

Fantastic sampler set, kicked of with "Forever In My Life" with an amazing, amazing bass solo by Prince bathed in shadows and dry ice.
Awesome 10 mins of crowd pleasing hits, followed by the band backing up sampler on "Housequake".

Prince is in such a great mood and evokes peace, harmony rock n roll and funk!!! .
Then the encores!!!!
Where do I start.....

"Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)", "Cause & Effect", "Play That Funky Music", "EndorphineMachine", "I Like It There", and "Dreamer"...

And a Godzilla version of "Bambi" with so many lights , strobes and killer killer guitar solo that guitar I swear was going to com-bust!

He really is in another realm with this band.
He seems to be mentor, spiritual pilgrim , guitar monster and living a new lease of life.

When it finished, the place was euphoric and witnessed the purple mothership leaving , probably with George on board!-Mako Bones

I think you have just captured how i feel at the moment. The guys i was with and a few people i met after that I knew from the 02 stint, well, i just told them I want to sit with a very fine whiskey by candlelight and reflect on what i have just witnessed. BTW your signature of the 7lb Bambi... falloff

You were at the Small Club gig? as in the infamous boot one?

For me the small club is the holy grail of gigs, but I reckon and even told people around me tonight that I have just witnessed that. The only criticism I would have about tonights gig, would be that the stage was too low.

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I did. On CD, the show is legendary, at the time, it was just damn good. Obviously all gigs depend on your mood, the hassle, your position in the venue, the sound etc. Tonight was perfect!

True, all those boxes got ticked tonight, and of course the man himself was in rare form. However, a soundboard of this...naw, its late and time to get some shut eye. I did a first tonight though and bought a t-shirt to mark the occassion confused
