Same here! This is starting to piss me off and i havnt missed a tour since 1990. All we ask is for us people who are soooooooooo unlucky not to live in the shit hole of London to have a chance of some tics. We went to see Arcade Fire at the Roundhouse a few months ago and ticketing was superb. Pay with a credit card on ticketmaster and that is your ticket in. Small machines that swipe your card when u go in to stop touts. So simple.
So come vibe with us.....Funk Bible...New Testament!

Quote of the day from neighbour propping up the woodburner...
"Ear, that there Prince bloke you like is a bit 'o' a bellend inee??"
Yes. It sems like it right now.
Prince was supposed to visit the Westcountry 'cause of the floods. Wrong f**kin Prince.

I'm only 18. Do you think they'll ask for ID when I buy the ticket? I have a form of ID but it expired in September! [Edited 2/9/14 6:10am]

Thanks for the pics! Please notice the lack of even the most basic set of them. Is this, again, an experiment to test the Brittish queueing habit? Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Best thing about this thread is seeing people help each other out, posting tube and hotel info for those going. excellent. it restores my hopes that not all people are dicks. For those that are going to the show tonight: have a great night and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

You should let Kiran Sharma know how online ticketing works

But that's the past, hope everyone that makes it has a great time tonight. [Edited 2/9/14 6:36am] RIP

Online ticketing takes some time to set up, which requires planning ahead.
Now, did anybody ever pose critical questions to Kiran via e.g. Twitter? Like:
'What is the exact scope of your work?' 'What is the reason for the apparent lack of planning?' 'What is the influence you have on mr. P?' 'What is the influence mr. P has on you? ' 'Are you a fan/fam/professional?' 'Do you think you can be critical about the production of a show?' Etc. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Silly question I suppose, but if I set off now from Yorkshire do you reckon I'd have a chance of getting in?

I highly doubt it tbh. Unless he does 2 shows in 1 night like he did at The Electric Ballroom I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I just read the price of the tickets £70 . Well ths is fine if it was properly organised with tickets on sale online with 48 hours notice at least. . This tour or whatever it is called continues to become more farcical by the day . Surely Prince's management must know when and where they are playing one day to the next? . How big is the queue now?

good luck to all those braving the queue - thouroughly enjoyed holding strong in the wind and rain in camden this week - made great new friends but lost them in the mellee!- and even though the show was only an hour - was one of his best performances - the girls rocked it! however - huge tension in the last hour with lack of information and securiy which led to the innevitable rush and then crush to get in. it is the venue's responsibility to ensure safety on site so i hope they can manage todays shennanigens with queueing properly and safely. there were many honest fans this week that felt let down with electric ballroom. as much as i'd like to see proper ticketed events for safety - there's nothing to beat the buzz and camerarderie that these events can bring be safe,be honest and dance your asses off !!!

Just joined the queue (14:50 GMT) and Security says we are about 500! We chanced it and drove up from Kent and parked in a multi-story about 10 mins walk away. The queue seems well managed at the moment with guys walking up and down the perimeter. Good luck to anyone on their way!

It would be interesting to see if they put on two shows. They've certainly upped the ante if this is £70 a pop, but I wonder if at that price they won't just put on one decent length show.
As for people asking for online sales, etc. Isn't the point of it being done this way to actively stop touts getting hold of any tickets and scalping fans? If you're going to spend seven or eight hours in a queue in the cold or rain, then it's probably fair to say that you're a fan.
I realise this makes it a lot more difficult for people to drop everything and get to a show, but that's just the way it is. There's no way of knowing just yet what other shows are planned or where they might be, or if they'll end up in a big arena at some point.
I'd much rather it was done this way to stop touts and piss off a few people, than release tickets online half of which end up on resale sites or in the hands of touts.
Let's face it, those of us who can't drop everything to get to these shows, would much rather dedicated people who have been prepared to queue for hours get in to see Prince and the band rather than it being filled with people who have had to pay up to ten times the amount they needed to. And I realise that's no consolation to those living outside London who can't drop everything to come down and queue, but that's always been the way with concerts. Just because you want to go doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get in.

Started to drive up from Brighton but changed my mind as 1: what if I don't get in. 2: I get up at 6am for work and wouldn't get back till 1-2am, I have big work responsibilities and can't jeopardize that. Need at least a weeks notice to book days off for and after the concert like most working people. Hit and run tours are a terrible idea

Online sales can easily be managed to avoid the touts....with credit card ID, etc...there's no reason to make people wait for hours like this..It's complete inconsideration of his fans...it's the behavior of a spoiled rotten diva...What's going to happen when he decides to play RAH or the O2? Will there then be 20,000 people waiting on the queue...? It's absolutely unnecessary and there's nothing to respect in this fiasco!

Good luck to everyone in the queue tonight, I hope you all get in I got to Camden at 7pm on Wednesday, and really thought I was on for a cold wet night out for nothing...saw the second show and it was amazing!!
I would love to go tonight, but stuck at work might swing by anyways just because it's Prince!
I agree that £70 should keep out the pushers-in and the like who spoilt an otherwise friendly and fun crowd queuing on Wednesday.
If he plays with even half the raw energy and showmanship he did the other night, you are all in for a treat

Same as everyone on here & agree with so many of the comments. It's a real shame, first time since 88 & looks like I may have to miss this 'tour'. I guess that's what you get for been a loyal fan with Prince.
The queue looks like it has the same lack of organisation as Wednesday & can only imagine what's going to happen when the doors open later. I started to drive there, then half way down & after an hour I turned back. 6/7 hours in a queue this cold, wet & wind is mental.
Will be interesting to see what the comments are tomorrow with the tickets suddenly going up to £70 too.

The threat of ticket touts is being used as an excuse for lack of pre-planning and organisation. It has been posted on this thread that for example the Roundhouse has an online system where the card used to pay for a ticket must be produced at the venue. For the One night Alone tour we had to produce photo ID. It can be done but needs a bit of planning unlike this tour.

I am praying for a late show or poss show tomorrow.. The price and the fact that I went to the best show late Wednesday made this decision easier but living a 10 min walk away is killing me... "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

If it was better to have everyone waiting in the cold and rain then why doesnt every band/artist do this? Might aswell scrap ticketmaster and go this way in the future Living in Cardiff and working tomorrow I am unable to get there tonight Now if they annouce tonight they are doing a show Tuesday and release tickets online at least I have a chance of getting in and arranging train and hotel

the security may be walking up and down the queue - that means nothing- they did that all day in camden and when they were really needed to sort the jumpers out and open the doors - chaos! only people in the queue can try to police friends of those already queueing to join them - got v edgy and annoying this week - keep smiling all and you will be rewarded with a monster show

another just left Herts! on the 1515 from at albans. Twitter says about 500 so not worried - just seen the price and even less worried now. Can't wait. Am sorry for those further away but confident more traditional dates will come up - this week seems pr for the single.
