People are getting brutal in this thread!

No. 1 in Amazon Charts? meh, I suspect if he makes No. 1 in the Official UK or even iTunes chart, then you may see an abundance of guerilla gigs in the weeks to come.

He's got people on eggshells, talking and even fighting.

For a man who has sworn against the Internet for so long, he's actually done a 180 and used it hard to (maybe inadvertantely) create Contrversy (pun intended) and I think today's Official UK chart could be the conditional Litmus test... just a hunch.

I was on a mission. I came, I saw.... well I never seen much to tell the truth. I had faith the wee man wouldn't let me down, EB was the warm up and he'd smash the first weekend of his "hit and run tour" sadly for me it was nothing but blind faith/stupidity to travel all the way to London in nothing but hope. But like a true funk solider I was willing to do what I had to do, it would be my only chance to get down London over the next few weeks. so armed with my wallet, phone, extra battery and a charger I was off.
The gamble never paid off sad but hey ho nothing ventured nothing gained. Am sure i wasn't the only one at least I hope I wasn't! Lol
Review/highlight of the weekend.... sharing a joint with a Rasta and talking about bob marley and the cia then (ten pints later) dancing round soho with the hari Krishna's which I have do say was some laugh and resuced the night! but my feet are fucking killing me as I sit waiting on a bus to take me home to my bed smile
it would gut me if he played sunday night but that's just Ur auld Da's luck but to all who made the "crazy" journey to London in hope and are still there I hope u get the Show u came for, it will no doubt make all the fucking about worth it! Fingers crossed for you all.

Have to say, I bought Pretzelbodylogic just to help it chart and, having listened to it a few times now, its really grown. Very radio friendly and catchy.

You poor thing! At least you tried. It would make perfect sense for him to play on Saturday, but Prince doesn't work on normal perameters, and the fact that people truly expected him to play probably didn't bode we'll either. Id say there has been absolute war in the Prince camp. The start of his london tour has not gone well. The music is great, but Prince has been a star for a long time. He knows when something has been organised badly and reflects badly on him. I would honestly say some heads have rolled. I'd love to be a fly on the wall. He may even be gone home for a while, I really wouldn't be surprised.
However, I actually think this all bodes well. He is still contracted to promote this album properly. And I think he really wants this tour of london to be iconic and fun. So who knows? Maybe some real organisation might be on the cards, with (shock) an actual schedule..?! Or even tickets??? I think he did say say dates were coming after the first press conference.
Fingers crossed!

Slowly developing into a PR disaster,I hope his Manager makes a statement today, the momentum has been lost now,and I tend to agree that Prince may not be in the UK at the moment. He needs to generate money, every day without a gig is ££££ down the drain.

I think the next series of concerts will be staged when the album Plectrum Electrum gets a release date and it will make it worth his while to actually to do some more concerts, to promote the music from it and the media social and printed, attention his performances bring will help with that.

The Electric Ballroom did a good job making people aware of his Pretzelbodylogic single and that Prince and 3rdeyegirl are in town. But there single only has a 7-14 day shelf life imho.

The album is where the true promotion lies and I have a feeling things will pick up closer to release date

I've seen the future and it will be

The reason for all this is that P is so fucken cheap and his management team is a headed up by a young inexperienced newbie who is in way over her head and hasnt a clue what the fuck she is doin. ..she is a puppet for his whims and he has proven over the years that as much of a genius he is onstage and in the studio he is the polar opposite when it comes to business savy...this is just a long line of amatuer fuckups that he has had over the years that has many times landed him in court to pay the piper.... the only reason those Mohegan dates were so well run was that he inexplicably handed the proceedings over to thier crack management and PR teams who had experience opening tours for the likes of Beyonce and Bon Jovi and even then the inconsistency of the ticket distribution had his fingerprints all over it... thats the way I see across the Alantic from Boston

I should have been arrested there after the champions league final 2011, ended up in some massive club there in a total state, singing "Black MF in da house", ranting on to anyone that would listen about my adventures in Jamaica, and how the rasta's told me about their love of Guinness..."It's good for da Bamboo Mon"

Lol Review/highlight of the weekend.... sharing a joint with a Rasta and talking about bob marley and the cia then (ten pints later) dancing round soho with the hari Krishna's which I have do say was some laugh and resuced the night! but my feet are fucking killing me as I sit waiting on a bus to take me home to my bed smile it would gut me if he played sunday night but that's just Ur auld Da's luck but to all who made the "crazy" journey to London in hope and are still there I hope u get the Show u came for, it will no doubt make all the fucking about worth it! Fingers crossed for you all.

Great effort my man, above & beyond.....better luck next time, you will be first on my list if I get a spare with enough notice!

Respect Rob smile
