“A few light taps upon the pane made him turn to the window. It had begun to snow again. He watched sleepily the flakes, silver and dark, falling obliquely against the lamplight. The time had come for him to set out on his journey westward. Yes, the newspapers were right: snow was general all over Ireland. It was falling on every part of the dark central plain, on the treeless hills, falling softly upon the Bog of Allen and, farther westward, softly falling into the dark mutinous Shannon waves. It was falling, too, upon every part of the lonely churchyard on the hill where Michael Furey lay buried. It lay thickly drifted on the crooked crosses and headstones, on the spears of the little gate, on the barren thorns. His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.”

Noticed that Live Nation UK are following 3EG's Twitter account, so looks like they are gonna be the gigs promoter - time to get a LV account if you don't already; they always run presales.

Emporium Aftershow was a fantastic night for me. My step father was in hospital very ill and insisted i go that night to the main concert instead of being up the hospital.
Was a great concert, a great aftershow at the emporium and something i will remember for ever. Sadly my step dad died a few days later. He was a musician too.
As for this waiting - its becoming a farce.

All the UK lurkers are finally out in the open tonight. It's nice to see this isn't a totally USA-centric site after all.
It's like going abroad and finding a British pub.
Great comments about Eileen Murton..that woman deserves some official recognition..how about an 'Order Of The Purple Garter'? "I'm much too hot to be cool"

The Emporiums were probably my favourites, probably followed by the Sept 13 indigo. Liked The Pod, Busby's, The Marquee and The Hippodrome. Worst by far was Kings Cross. .

Remember the hippodrome very well I was put in front of his keyboard all night and pulled funny faces at me and threatened to stand on my fingers. At least he enjoyed that. I got some tickets for Lovesexy, Nude & D&P tours from EIleen, I remember filling the sheet for preferred dates, attaching a cheque and posting it before gigs were even announced, then receiving the tickets a few weeks later and working out where you was on the seat map on the back, always in the front blocks !!! good old days when Prince's people looked after the fans and provided good tickets in advance. Now we hang around on here wonder if we're gonna have to go via scalpers and pay a premium on Seatwave etc.
I also went on the 1991 Minneapolis trip with Controversy, got a tour of Paisley park and had some fun in Glam Slam.
