I've always generally lucked out. Sat next to Bill Oddie at one show, George Micheal at another. Even got to have food with Wendy and Lisa.

the pub next to the tube that was the VIP bit? how did you get in there? he wasn't famous at that time either, was he? it was long before little britain was on telly. he did that celebrity show where he dressed up as prince a couple of years previously tho. we went to the mal maison where prince and robbie williams was. i spoke to robbie at the hotel and maccas band were there too (no, not the beatles)



what gig was george michael at? my mate was next to bill oddie at the wembley 98 JOTY tour. bill was also at the final night of ONA in london. that was the night most of the celebs were in the rows just behind NPGMC. so i've danced onstage with prince in front of bill oddie from the goodies! which is a pretty major claim to fame really. the daily mail call me regualarly about it now that operation yew tree has put him back in the public eye

Never remind me of the first night of ONA in London in 2002....the seating fiasco wrecked my planned wedding proposal!

I had a 6 months pregnant wife with me for Hop Farm, so the car park was ideal for me. She slept while we crept slowly out of the car park.

Fair play for still doing the show while 6 months preggers!! Worth it though, I thought Prince was on rare form and he seemed to be in an unusually happy mood.

Had some mates that were caught up in the Hop Farm car park madness and they started a mini Prince party with the cars around them, somce classic Prince cuts on the CD player, some impromtu dancing, etc....they quite enjoyed it!!

I still feel I owe a guy called Chris(?) a huge thanks for Hop Farm (letsgocrazy1999 I think his username on HQ and MoQuake was, he had the Jamie Hewlett Monkey character sketch as his avvie).

He gave me a Hop Farm e-ticket for free, and would not take payment. I wanted to at least buy him a beer or two at the festival, but never did meet him in person.

Chris if you are out there that was most generous. I'm a bit of an anonymous UK fan despite being to at least one UK tour date since 1992, and being active on most of the forums. I just don't know any UK Prince fans, and hang back from the cosy front of stage areas.

Hope we all get to have some fun over the next week or more(?)

Yeah it has been quite fun! I noticed Janelle Monae and Allen Stone annoucing dates on my Twitter feed and I was like 'PLEASE, I am too busy with Prince!' smile

Well it's official. I'm almost 40 and I've done squat today. Can't concentrate. All my friends think I'm a liar wink

I've written 3 emails, drank 7 cups of tea and checked out my pension (exciting). The one thing I really haven't done is any WORK!

Good job I work from home lol
