Nothing will happen tomorrow, he won't even be in the country till mid afternoon, if he's going to do an album launch tonight after the New Girl show which will start about 6 am UK time, then the launch do itself.

All this talk about launching makes me wonder if Prince is an astronaut.

I can see him getting in a limo at the airport tomorrow afternoon, straight to a press conferance at Lianne's house , well, a statement, announce gigs for the up coming week then play a few songs with her, so I expect details to be released tomorrow night.

Fits in well with the Jazz Cafe announcement, I saw Sheila E there 18 months ago, was good, small venue, there wouldn't be many available for general public, considering booking a table there all week upstairs !!!

Seriously, this is and has away been my dream gig. However, do we honestly think he'll be partying in NYC tonight (morning in London) and then do a gig here tomorrow?!

Yes. that is something he would do. Straight from gig via warm limo and private jet, sleeping en route on a relatively short flight, arrive, quick refresh and off to next stage, press conference and funky little gig. one night in the indigo we saw a great late aftershow and Prince went straight from it to the airport, private jet to Prague, to shoot a video at dawn. Amazing stamina. a mazing.

Live in Preston so it'll be a ballache getting down too. However, whilst it sucks he did just do US dates last year and missed out a whole coast and middle of the country didn't he? I'm guessing that getting from lancs to London is easier than going across the USA? Maybe he'll do more than one show a night if it's thirdeyegirl. Maybe by London it's just lazy yank speak for the UK? Enjoying the speculation as time gets closer. Hope he doesn't go all soft-cock on us tho!

I doubt he will go outside London for this trip, gigs at short notice will be easier to fill in the capital, especially if the ticket price is likely to be high at small venues to make it pay.

I don't mind going to London for gigs, to tour costs allot of money and time to arrange for logistics, what annoys me is gigs at really short notice, that for anyone outside London make its very hard to attend, O2 was all in london and we had a couple of months notice to choose concert dates that work, book hotels, travel, arrange work leave etc. A weeks notice would be enough for most people to give a realistic chance to attend, I'm sure Prince's people knew last week the dates he would be playing and where, as the dates are based on Venue availability.

....it's not as though he announced a Glasgow gig then cancelled it! If this is the worst thing that happens to you this year, you'll be in for a good one!

I can't begin to tell you how comical all of this speculation is! No one really has a clue of what he is up to. I love it! It's pretty obvious that this is not the usual tour but a series of events to get eveyone talking about his soon to be released new album PLECTRUMELECTRUM and my if it isn't working like a charm! If you REALLY want to see Prince, you probably will. If you would just LIKE to see Prince, you probably will not. That's just the way it goes.

Less comical would be to ask him, if he ever makes it to the UK:

  • What is the purpose of your visit?
  • When will the album be released?
  • In What format(s)?
  • What tracks will be on the album?

Etc.

It'a promotional tour. He can't play everywhere. Go to London if it's that big a deal! Or I guess just have a horrible year.

Yep. He must be about to do one of these "amazing stamina" things. He's in New York for the listening party, VH-1 just confirmed he's in the building, then hop on a flight to Lianne's for tea! wink

The full music video premiered on the BET Channel on February 12, 2008.

at about 7am UK time he was just turning up at listening party in NY.

I reckon that means it would be 6pm UK time before he could be in london sad

thinking that he wont be performing tonight then (or at least if he does I won't still be in London and will be on way home!)

and looking at flights into Heathrow - there is nothing from New York between 11am and 7.40pm

Guess that puts it to about 9pm to get into London

Unless he had a private plane chartered

The venues will have been booked well in advance, contracts need to be signed and everything so it woudlnt suprise me if they have been booked for a months, yet his management insist on giving us a few days notice, not bothered what the fans want/need to be able to get there.

Doesnt owe us anything but out of respect for the people who have supported him for years you would think they would think more of us to give suitable notice I honestly cant see Prince being in London for a month for the sake of some small shows, so i think it would be likely the shows will be in these first 2 weeks.

That's why the UK folks should start phoning/asking around to find out the venue(s).

No info yet on those...
