Exactly, the anouncement says "starting feb 3rd <> the first stop is the living room of LLH", so that's where he's playing on the 3rd, looks clear to me.

We (inc me) are all getting our knickers in a twist over this "tour" but there is a clear explanation about what is going to happen. It is a "hit n run" tour. Prince has form doing this. It means gigs/venues announced with very little notice.

All very exciting but actually for die-hards who have to be at work it is actually a lot of stress. If I was a teenager who could sit refreshing my browser every couple of seconds with multiple windows opened for all the ticket sellers then yeah great. But a LOT of Prince's hardcore fans have been with him since the 80s - and we are in our 40s.

Oh how I long for the NPGMC days with priority tickets for members.

Some of us will be lucky and I suspect a fair few of us will not (certainly not for the best seats).

Prince also has form of playing a gig the same day/night of a press conference/announcement = Koko for the 21 nights in London announcement (well the run of gigs at O2 as not initially 21 nights).

Personally I wish he would do a mix of gigs/venues (of different sizes) and customise the show/set list to the venue to reflect the audience (ie how about a club tour just for diehards - yes that would mean needing NPGMC type priority booking). The small "fan club" gigs would be full of rarities whereas the bigger venues for the mainstream would be the more familiar hits show. ie something for everyone!

Oh well will have to see what happens Monday and across Feb.

I presume if anything is happening on Monday night it will me a love in with the press and we won't have a look in, features in the papers the next day and there will be other shows around town soon?

Some chance of going to work late and trying (in vain) to purchase a ticket for the subsequent dates?

Tuesday 4th at Union Chapel is what I've heard from a decent source. Don't take this as definite but it makes perfect sense to me. Great venue too.

London Underground Tube strikes 4-6 Feb and 11-13 Feb as well. I believe

Okay, so come Monday where should I actually be looking for announcments? The 3rdEyeGirl twitter account didn't tweet anything about the official release made last week, I heard about that from Funkenberry. Right now twitter is all I will be keeping an eye on Monday, but I'm curious as to whether there there is anything else you guys can recommend. Do we reckon the press conference in Lianne La Havas' flat will be televised on Sky News for example?

SKY News broadcast live the opening of the last night at the O2, so they must have decent links with the Prince camp to be fair, besides, they might have access to Prince's Voicemail

I don't know, I remember Sky News played footage of 3 songs from 21 nights as an exlusivise. The MJ press conference was shown on TV and so was Prince's for Welcome To America if I remember correctly. I don't know how this shit works, don't make me feel stupid!

Where did it say the announcement was the 3rd? on the original announcement it was the first gig on the 3rd, I presumed that would be a gig people could attend, not a media launch in a mates flat where he'll probably bring his sampler set and let his friend sing a few tracks.

That aint a gig if no one can attend, even warm up gigs for full tours are normally in clubs to a couple of hundred fans (abit like an aftershow). I guess we will find out Monday, we can speculate all we want, but I bet even his own people aren't sure what he will wanna do !

I have been hoping for this, love the venue and I live in Highbury so a short walk home. This would be too good to be true plus tickets would be like gold dust as it is so small.

A couple of years ago when The Rolling Stones announced their dates they got alot of flack over their ticket prices which were £125 and upward, on monday what prices are we expecting? the same, will Prince get alot of flack?
