So, are we assuming that tix will be sold through 3rdeyegirl.com or will they be available through the usual vendors? If so, which ones are folks gonna go for (thinking of which is the least likely to buckle under the wieght of demand)

I'm certainly not assuming anything. Just wishing that we could maybe get a presale through our 3rdeyegirl.com accounts maybe. Nothing wrong with dreaming is there? wink

As long as Shelby J isn't present, I'll be happy. I've very little interest in the Shelby J featuring Prince show.

Prince can play what he likes - the more rarities the better - he's a bloody genius whatever he's playing. As long as it is predominantly Prince playing and owning the stage.

I'm delighted it appears he's bringing the 3RDEYEGIRL rock-oriented show here. I think it will go down very well with UK audiences and as someone who has been attending Prince concerts since '93 it will provide me with something distinct and exciting I haven't experienced before.

I just want to hear Prince play songs he genuinely has an emotionally investment in - I don't care if they were recorded 30 years ago or last week.

Exactly. Not a fan of Shelby J whatsoever. Prince is the last person that needs a hype-woman or man. Although she can sing I find her whole "uhh-huh" schtick totally annoying. I saw Prince with NPG last month and would have rather seen a 3RDEYEGIRL rock show. Although we did have a blast he played too many 70's funk/soul covers sung by guess who? The highlite of the show was when the horns and singers left the stage and it was just Prince and the girls rocking out. Shelby was playing solo shows in France this week so you never know.

Fair play - just got my Cure tix. Prodigy in Jan, Prince in Feb and the Cure in March - excellent start to the year.

Well done on getting the Cure tickets, tried all morning but to no avail, kicking myself that I didnt see there was a pre-sale Thursday morning. However, I did learn that when using a tablet to get tickets on Ticketmaster, under no circumstances use a browser. It plays havoc with the Captcha and makes them unreadable...

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Apparently Prince has just been dropped off by Peter Odemwinge at Carrington Road (Sky reports) and a deal is very close to being signed. He had initially travelled to the Etihad but could not agree terms. Moyes described as excited.

Prince just been seen leading Natalie Sawyer off for a special 1 on 1 interview ..... having heard Prince is available, Harry Redknapp is heading up the M1 in a Canary Yellow 8 Series to do the deal, he fancies a tricky winger who accepts late night payments in a brown paper bag, rumour also that Chris Kamara is going to be signed as new lead singer of the Time.

Obviously Prince wants her up there and she is a decent singer but I find her hype act obnoxious & overbearing and whenever she's up there, she sings a few 70's covers which is the last thing many of us want to hear when we pay good money to see Prince. None of this happens at the 3rdEyeGirl shows however and that is the main reason that I would rather see one of those as opposed to an NPG show. That and I'd love to see P shred along with Donna on guitars!

But the gigs start Monday according to the announcement, if the details are announced Monday morning for a gig that night, it will be really difficult to get to, what are they going to do, sell tickets on the door??? only really local people will make it, its not even a weeekend when people are off work and can travel at short notice, Prince is in his own little world !!! nothing new there

Do you think Prince cares which part of the country or world the audience is from? The tickets for these shows will sell out in a few minutes if sold online, unless they deliberately keep some back for sale on the door.

Apart from that, where exactly did it say, categorically, that there would be a gig on Monday? There might b a private little show for celebs maybe at whatshernames flat

It says around the 3rd Feb on the first post info, so I used that as the date for first gig, which is likely by the info released.

Not saying Prince has to care about where fans are coming from, I'm saying from someone who will be trying to get there it will be diffilcult at such short notice. What ever date the first gig is, I'd expect him to play a couple of dates over a short period, its billed as a 'hit n run' tour, so won't be a long residency, hopefully all this speculation will be over on Monday and we will get decent info we can plan around.
