I did okay after about 50-60 attempts. Got 2 seats together section 4 row F for Sunday. Not bad after only getting sec 8 for Friday in last week's presale. Saturday seems to be near impossible for anything remotely decent. High Rock n rollers lol will be in sec 1,2,3... Honey I thought that was Michael Jackson who sang that I wanna be ur Lover LMAO! After against the stage at City Winery with that infamous Sunday night intimate gig in August I am just happy he's even having a few shows on the East Coast B4 2013 closes out! Do I ever miss those NPG music club days, some may recall back in 2004, it was presale, not knowing where U would sit and then bam show license at will call and it was first or second row every night even when I traveled to other cities. Probably dreaming but that would be nice to see again one day. Happy P is still alive and funkin in 2013. Party Up!

Not necessarily. I went to 6 or 7 Musicology shows, and for all but the last one I bought tix through NPGMC. For the first show, I was in the second or third row and it was amazing. For all of the other NPGMC-bought shows, I was in the 20th or 30th row on the floor and couldn't see a damn thing. For the last show, I bought the ticket last-minute at Ticketmaster and was at the bottom of the bowl, and I wish I had done that for all but the first show. Then again, I'm pretty sure the NPGMC was purposefully giving me shitty seats because I was a major thorn in their sanctimonious side. wink

Sorry to hear that, guess I was just lucky as I went to 7 shows and worst seat was 5th Row. Even got on stage in Nassau Coliseum show 7/21/04, great memories

Still plenty of very good lower level and balcony seats available, especially for Sunday. I don't think there's any chance of sellouts today, hopefully this means all the scalpers will be losing money at the end of the day.

Thank U Pokeno, you inspired me to search Sunday until I got floor seats.

Glad it worked out for ya, I figured availability would be better for a Sunday night seeing as people gotta work the next day and all.

Good figuring as most everyone just shot for Sat, then Fri. Watch we'll have a 2 am after show Monday Morning.

Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.

Look at it on the bright side. A usual arena show can seat 18,000-20,000 a la Madison Square Garden and United Center. The Mohegan Sun Arena is a comfy venue that is half that in size.

So, if you are in the first few rows or in the rafters it's gonna be all good.

Deep breaths and enjoy the shows.

Peace

Joe

That's good to hear, thanks, as you make a good point. If it's half the size of MSG, then I believe no matter where you sit, you'll get a decent view, if off the floor of course.

I tried for lower-level seats for the 29th but didn't like the rows (too far back) and there were plenty good seats coming up this morning in the lower section. It even showed section 4 around 10:30am this morning, but I don't like floor seats, as too many people block your view on the floor. So I chose seats in an upper level section, which gave me seats within the first row of the section I chose, and don't have to worry about anyone standing in front of my seat, blocking my view. I'm really not that fond of upper-level seating, but since it's an arena smaller than MSG, I figure I'll still get a decent view. Taking one of my younger siblings with me on the 29th. I don't believe she's ever seen Prince perform before, so it will be a first for her This will also be my first time seeing Prince perform with this particular group of band members. It will be interesting to see how that performance turns out. smile

some singles in section six for Friday night now appearing . . . .

Earlier today, section 4 came up twice today, for Sunday. If you stay on the search tix function, and keep clicking on search again, every now and then some good seats pop up.

I noticed that on Saturday, 12/28, some upper level seats were the same price as the lower level seating. I was very surprised to see that, but I guess Saturday would be the prime day for the casinos regulars/high rollers, so not surprised some upper level (i.e., sections 106, etc.) was coming up for $214 instead of $142.

I found this pic of what the seating looks like. Seems even from sections 115 -120 upper level is still a good view.

Not sure exactly who he will be playing with but I assume The 3rdEyeGirl women will be there. I just hope he just rocks that joint and leaves the hornz and the singers at home. I've seen that show many times already. When was the last time he played an indoor show in an arena? I think it's been a while. Can't wait! Wish it was this weekend.

Oh I don't have a problem with the extended band members, like the horn players or backup singers joining Prince on stage. It's not like I can call the shots and tell any musician/artist to leave a portion of their band off the stage, for my own, personal preferences. I'm going to take in whatever they bring to the show and take it from there. I think if you go to any concert, with specific expectations then you're setting yourself up for disappointment you may already have created for yourself, before experiencing the show. I will wait for the show and the experience. Anyway, hope you enjoy the show regardless. smile

I just looked on Stubhub and it seems all the floor tickets they have for sale, at least for Friday night are for all the sections that never showed up on Ticketmaster to my knowledge. Sections 4 and 6 which some of us got have no availability.

Seems the Native Americans are trying to "scalp" us (pun intended). cool

Did you happen to notice that every single listing for Floor 1 thru 3 is being shipped UPS, whereby all the sections that did show up on Ticketmaster are Electronic/Download delivery. That's because all the comped tickets are hard tickets received directly from the casino that can't be delivered electronically. whistling

I never said I have a problem with the singers (although Shelby can be a bit over the top at times) or the hornz, I just want to see one of the 3rdEyeGirl rock shows that I missed out on this past year. Either way it will be a blast!

I have seen shows at this venue multiple times it is less than half of the capacity of MSG. its like a high school gym...Really not a bad seat in the house. I did get confirmation that 3rdeyegirl is playing with him for all 3 shows. full capacity for each is prob around 7K. You are all right that some of the very good tickets are held for the high rollers. I was able to get thru the presales section 15.

Keep trying all but don't wait to long as i do believe they will sellout given the small capacity..

I agree, can't see these not selling out. This place is midway between New York and Boston and will draw from both areas, it is a vacation week for many people and, of course, the casino being there is an automatic draw. That being said, I am sure we will see tickets dumped into the market at the last minute since it seems many were held back, at least five big sections. Who knows how many they will actually give away. Seems they are trying to sell many of them on Stubhub already trying to increase their profits. I realize this goes on all the time, but to have absolutely no seats available in the front sections or even the side sections in the front for sale I have never seen!

Well now this is interesting, looking to see what's available just now and it's coming up with a wait time message of 15+ minutes for myself and friends of mine.

Are a whole bunch of people trying to buy tickets all at once now?

Is it a sales ploy to give the false impression that there's huge demand?

Or is it just a system glitch?

All day yesterday the wait times were less than a minute. hmmm

Could be the system was overloaded because Billy Joel tickets went on sale at 10:00am for his MSG residency.

Thanks, yes that makes sense and the wait times are back down to under a minute now.

Looks like Saturday night is getting close to a sellout, best pair available is in 117 row M.

Plenty still available for Friday & Sunday.

This isn't bad at all. i had to exchange my floor for upper level section 110 only because i'm driving up from philadelphia. gas and tolls aren't cheap but idc. upper view is still good and this is my first concert ever and my first Prince show. first i wanted NPG for some hits but then 3EG for guitar. at this point i don't even care lol i just wanna have fun.

TicketMonster now showing a special "Hotel Package" that includes a Luxury Room and "Premium" tickets (Sec15 or Sec25) +$25 bev comp for approx shocked $1199 depending on what night is chosen... guess we now know why we didnt see many Sec15/Sec25 available in any presales...

Considering a room rez is $599 for Sat night that means ~$600 for 2 tickets in Sec15 or 25.... hmmm

when the good tickets dont get sold and they wont ,they will be but back on sale to the general public at a much cheaper price.

with all due respect theres not alot of demand for thse tickets.

its a holiday people are all ready going away,3 week notice, very high hotel prices and i can go on and on.

have patencience and the best seats will come out last like they they always do,then again when is the last time prince really sold out an areana show at 200$ a ticket and knowbody nows who the band is.

My friends have been asking me why they are charging $214 for 90% of the tickets when it was only $25 for 80% of the seats in The Forum. We're not talking a small club or theater here, Mohegan is a 10,000 seat arena.

It's just a little disappointing that the ticket prices have become the focus of this month's 3 shows, there's a whole lotta fans that simply can't afford to pay that much and it's understandable.

I think what will happen is the bulk of the upper level seats for Friday and Sunday will switch to the $142 price.

Anyone looking for section 14? I can't go Friday, 12/27, have to give tickets up. Not looking to make anything extra one fan to another! Two tickets. Pop message me here, will be on for a bit, or send mail macjewels at hotmail dot com. They say "possible obstruction", but looked online at other concerts and seems to be fine since it's 6th row, not to mention close! biggrin
