Still no tickets sold in sections 1-3 or 14-15 or 25-26. Hopefully tomorrow. Got two in section 6 row H, best I saw after I bought was section 6 row c and section 4 row D. We will see what happens tomorrow.

I saw those same seats in Row C and Row D, passed 'em up as they are so far from the stage. And with my luck I'd have a couple of 6'6" guys standing in front of me!

Three different presales, all lousy seats. Of course that's cuz they expect the fanatics like us to scoop 'em up. hmph!

Does Prince ever go down the aisles on the floor, not necessarily on a bicycle?

Actually, take a look at the photo of the arena on Mohegun's website, it give a good view of the seating for a concert. I am just afraid we may never see good seats in sections 1-3 because it's a casino and a vacation week when all their big rollers will be there. In the photo , sections 25 and 15 look very good too, especially if you are not "tall of stature" to be on the floor.

I would LOVE to get seats in 15 or 25 ... you've seen them come up there? I haven't, and I've been trying for a week now. neutral

With the kind of crowds that are expected, I'd guess at least 50% of each show will be hits.

No I haven't yet. But they seem like great seats from the picture. I can't imagine those wouldn't come up tomorrow. They can't hold back that many tickets for their casino comps!

I would say the same. Given that it is a casino and lots of people will be there because they are getting comped tickets, he will play the hits. As I wrote earlier, when I went to the Superbowl concert at the Har Rock Casino a few years ago when he played in the Superbowl, the front sections were lame, no doubt filled with casino comps and other VIPS there for the Superbowl. The only time they stood up was for songs like Kiss, Purple Rain, etc., and because of that, to be honest, it was a pretty weak show from Prince too. I hope this isn't the case here!

Hope you're right, but it is a small venue and there's a whole lotta gamblers that the casino would love to bring in for the weekend. I wonder what seating availability was like when he did the Vegas residency?

Yup, I think the aftershows might be livelier and include more gems that most folks never heard before.

worse than the presales! Glad I bought. Either they are playing games, or a whole lot of tickets never went on sale. I even tried a single ticket and got nothing on the floor or in one of the good side sections and I was in right at 10:00am! This is scalpers glory! Oh for the NPG Music Club days!!!!!!!

Still plenty of very good lower level and balcony seats available, especially for Sunday. I don't think there's any chance of sellouts today, hopefully this means all the scalpers will be losing money at the end of the day.

I'm in the front row of 106 for Friday, balcony seats near the stage are better than lowers in the back half of the floor IMO.

Front row is the only way I would sit upstairs in any venue. I prefer to be downstairs so we have a better chance of sneaking into the seats by the stage. Either way it should be a blast!

Yeah that's a good point about sneaking near the stage. I have no idea how strict security will be, but I'd guarantee toward the end of the night there will be plenty of empty comped seats near the stage.

Look at it on the bright side. A usual arena show can seat 18,000-20,000 a la Madison Square Garden and United Center. The Mohegan Sun Arena is a comfy venue that is half that in size.

So, if you are in the first few rows or in the rafters it's gonna be all good.

Deep breaths and enjoy the shows.

Peace

I did okay after about 50-60 attempts. Got 2 seats together section 4 row F for Sunday. Not bad after only getting sec 8 for Friday in last week's presale. Saturday seems to be near impossible for anything remotely decent. High Rock n rollers lol will be in sec 1,2,3... Honey I thought that was Michael Jackson who sang that I wanna be ur Lover LMAO!

After against the stage at City Winery with that infamous Sunday night intimate gig in August I am just happy he's even having a few shows on the East Coast B4 2013 closes out! Do I ever miss those NPG music club days, some may recall back in 2004, it was presale, not knowing where U would sit and then bam show license at will call and it was first or second row every night even when I traveled to other cities. Probably dreaming but that would be nice to see again one day.

Happy P is still alive and funkin in 2013. Party Up!

Not necessarily. I went to 6 or 7 Musicology shows, and for all but the last one I bought tix through NPGMC. For the first show, I was in the second or third row and it was amazing. For all of the other NPGMC-bought shows, I was in the 20th or 30th row on the floor and couldn't see a damn thing. For the last show, I bought the ticket last-minute at Ticketmaster and was at the bottom of the bowl, and I wish I had done that for all but the first show. Then again, I'm pretty sure the NPGMC was purposefully giving me shitty seats because I was a major thorn in their sanctimonious side. wink
