Didn't see any merchandise whatsoever. Great, great show ... lousy crowd ... security was strict but polite.. P said he liked it here ... asked the crowd if they are going new years eve? So any news of an aftershow going down tonight? My best bet that the aftershow would be Sat, or possibly Sun night. follow me on twitter - Lovenharmony1 aka @DAPfan2c

Very good show. Energy was incredible from Prince and the Band. This show was not for the casual fan looking for hits. He did do 1999; Purple Rain and the slow version of Let's go Crazy but that was about it other than the keyboard set.
For the rest of us Orgers it was great. Starting out with Days of Wild was off the hook. Mutiny, Something in the Water, Musicology, She's always in my Hai were great. Lots of extended jamming. Too many covers as usual. Show lasted about 2.5 hours. [Edited 12/27/13 22:16pm]

Just got back to NYC from the show. Great show although I could have used more guitar and less covers. The entire show and band seemed very well rehearsed. P was in top form and was in bandleader mode for most of the show only playing guitar on a handful of tunes. Missed him on guitar for You Got The Look however he did however play the real version of Purple Rain instead of that piano version that he played earlier this year with 3EG. i still just don't understand his sampler set. Why? Not the best Prince show but lots of fun and some rare tunes like Something in the Water Does Not Compute. If you are thinking about going Sat or Sun by all means GO! Nice small areana and a very friendly staff. The traffic however on I-95 from NYC was brutal.
On a side note I actually met Esperanza Spalding during P's set. She was so nice (and so gorgeous!). I was just standing at the top of section 25 and she walked up and said hello! I talked to her for half a minute or so and then her and her 2 male friends were whisked away to their seats. What an amazing young woman. [Edited 12/28/13 0:48am] [Edited 12/28/13 1:30am]

So from all the reviews including the USA Today article... More of the same ol show... Too many covers, sampler set (ugh) and P the bandleader oh and the yellow suit is back Wake me when your done... The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Not sure what you all expected/ i posted that the NPG hadnt rehearsed wiht 3EG as they were all working on other projects et al...you all said its prince, of course they rehearsed .. they rehearsed when they got to CT and got the timing right on somgs they already knew..that only should take 24 hours for professionals//no way were they doing diffeernt show with new setlist [Edited 12/28/13 6:08am]

Other than the technical problems with Purple Rain the only part of the show that didn't flow IMO was Donna's solo at the end of U Got The Look, I'd describe it as awkward at best.
Yeah there wasn't much of P on guitar, but the songs he did perform were excellent high energy dance jams. The Musicology jam must have lasted around 15 minutes, I absolutely loved it. When he played, it was amazing! The band seemed "too big" for the stage, IMHO. I went with my brother who is a casual prince fan, and he did not like it. It was definitely not a true hits show, but featured some here and there just to keep the folks up and out of their seats. The crowd tried to stay with him, but you had to be able to shift gears in and out of his whole catalog. For us orgers.....GREAT! For someone looking for a purple rain dance show.....not so much!
