Hey, just wondering how you exchanged. I tried earlier with ticketmaster and they wouldn't exchange because of Mohegan Sun venue rules. Did you have to do anything special to exchange your tickets. It would be good to know just in case any good seats show up right at the end.

Just seeing this post. You can call fan support at tixmaster at 1-800-653-8000. They will put in an application for approval, that will take 72 hours for them to respond to you, because it has to be approved by a supervisor. They will call you within that timeframe. It has to be for either exchange of seats at the same price or an upgrade from a lower to higher ticket. I believe they are open until 9pm Eastern time, and also try over the weekend if they are already closed by the time you read this post tonight.
Give it a try, they were very helpful to me. When they returned the call, I didn't accept the seats they first offered to exchanged, because they were further away than the section I had. So I asked them if I could call them back because I may decide to upgrade my tix, and I also asked them if they could keep my application for exchange/upgrade open, for a couple of days, and they held it open until this Friday for me, and I made sure the person I spoke to, noted that on my application to hold it until Friday, and that I would call them back. They will let you know what seats are still available, once you get approved. I only had to pay the difference towards the 2 upgraded, higher-priced tix. Good luck!

That was my experience also, they called on Saturday the 14th and I wasn't home so they left a message saying I had to exchange by the end of the day on the 15th. Well, no better seats came up so I let it go. Having said that, it might be a good idea to try this maybe on Monday or Tuesday next week so they might get back to you by Thursday or Friday when better seats might be released at the last minute and your exchange approval is in place. This ticket sale for these concerts has been the craziest I have ever been a part of--all over the place with sections being sold out one at a time it seems before others open.

LOTS of possibilities http://touch.courant.com/...-78630294/ got Prince?

I seriously doubt there's that few still available, I think he's trying to spur sales by using the "fear of a sellout" ploy. Checking periodically I'm still able to pull up 8 tickets together in great upper sections (106, 118) for Friday and Sunday.
Word of caution for those relying on the Ticketmaster seating chart, this more detailed chart looks a lot different as far as each section's proximity to stage. I think Ticketmaster may be trying to have the view from Sections 14, 26, 105 and 119 appear to be a lot better than it actually is, while covering their ass with the "possible obstruction" warning.

Sat and SUNDAY | |

I agree about section 14 and 26. I believe there could be some obstructive viewing there, and equipment on stage, can possibly block your view. One of the reps offered section 26 when they called last Sunday, and I said no. At that time there was nothing available in section 24 or 25 when I asked. So I called back later in the week, because they extended my application through this Friday, and a different rep offered section 24, and I took it immediately. I was surprised section 24 had any seats at all, since there wasn't any available in that section, last Sunday when the rep called me. I was also surprised to learn that some seating in the upper sections, 118, 117 were the same price as the lower sections. The rep stated that rows A - M in sections 117 and 118 were $214, I gather because those sections have closer viewing to the stage.
I first had seats in sections 115, in the first row and had paid $142 each for 2 tix, but then I exchanged/upgraded to lower section 24 seats. Apparently some upper sections further from the stage are going for $142, and the upper sections, like 106 and 107, rows A through M are going for $214.
Anyway, can't wait to go to Sunday's show, I'm sure it will be a blast. My sis, niece and I are driving in on Saturday, but not going to Saturday's show. We'll be in the casino doing a little gambling I guess and touring the place. I had booked a hotel before Thanksgiving, when I saw the announcement of the shows, so I was able to get a decent hotel for 2 nights for a great price (under $200) because they were running a special, and it is within a mile from the Mohegan. Enjoy yourself at the show. It will be a great way to end 2013 and begin 2014. [Edited 12/21/13 10:35am]

just found Row A Section 14 for Saturday night but passed on them because the view looks a little strange and I bet the sound sucks
wonder if people will be sitting down or standing..........either way i think it would suck to have floor seats

Gonna be great shows.
I do think there will be strong walkup sales for Saturday, as tickets are $20 cheaper at the box office and there are sure to be plenty of people at the casino unaware of who is performing who will decide to use their gambling money once they find out it's Prince.
Spend $200 for a couple hours of playing slots, or for a 2-hour Prince concert? Only a major gambling addict would choose the slots. "Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. Yep, it never hurts to try at tixmaster for better seats. I look forward to enjoying Janelle and Prince bringing the funk and roll on Sunday, 12/29.

i still say best will come out last and dont be surprised if its from the box office directly
and yes there are way more than a 1000 tickets left .they are playing the ticket game sell the wurst first to the true fans then release the best to people who are on the fence at the last minute to convince them to buy them . rember alot of the show the house is paperd so expect tons of extras floating around at the venue the nite of the show
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
You wanna know what's gonna happen with the extras? Here's a story from a different Native American casino:
They've got these bingo sessions every morning, 7 days a week. The bingo hall seats approx 4,000 people. Now obviously the fewer people playing, the better chance of you winning - right? So some friends of mine decided to go whenever they expected the place would be less crowded. They went in the middle of blizzards. They went in the middle of tropical storms and hurricanes. They went when the roads were nearly impassible from snow and ice. ..... Guess what? The place was absolutely packed EVERY SINGLE TIME, I'm sure you can figure out why. So I believe the Mohegan Sun arena will be full next weekend, no matter how many tickets wind up being sold. "Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. They start shit, you finish it. Go down to their level, that's the only way they'll understand. You have to handle things yourself."

i expect it to be packed too but not with sold or payed tickets, with what is called paper the house tickets, not good for the artist becuase if he cant sell and make a profit for the casino they wont have him back [Edited 12/22/13 13:01pm]
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I hope that's not true because the place will be dead then, especially the front. I would hate to be an artist and have the front sections full of people that are only there because they got the tickets free.
There is someone on craigslist in Manhattan selling tickets in section one for Saturaday night for around face value. Hard tickets. Others selling (or may be the same person) for the other nights in the same area, but a bit more money.

Do you really think Prince is not gonna make a profit for the casino...u act like he is britney or someonme..gtfoh.

Reminds me of whenever "Best Available" is used for any Ticketmaster event, nearly every time you try again a few minutes or even seconds later it's BETTER seats that come up.
I trust Ticketmaster just as much as I trust casinos!

Ticketmaster now has VIP tickets for the first two rows, but doesn't show any availability.

Did you catch the prices? Front row = $470 and Second Row = $570 ... why the hell would 2nd row cost $100 more than front row?
I also noticed for Friday & Saturday pairs are available only for Obstructed and Upper Level. "Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. They start shit, you finish it. Go down to their level, that's the only way they'll understand. You have to handle things yourself."

Just curious, where did U get this more detailed seating chart from? Since TM seems to be pushing Sec 14 & 26, they should b ok. Also, his stage has been clean & simple w/3rdeyegirl so doubt any obstructions got Prince?

I did. The only thing I could think of was the second row are in section 2 where the first row might be off to one side or the other.

Got it from here, if you click on "Interactive" and zoom in you can see how precise it is with every single row labeled: http://seatgeek.com/venue...ing-chart/
The sections also seem to match better than Ticketmaster's chart with pictures of the arena I've seen.
