Just saw DrFunkenberry alluded to that fans might have to wait longer for a tour announcement... ie it is not happening anytime soon. I also think the vids were meant as 'recompense' for the lack of tour announcement that everyone was expecting.

Actually Funkenberry said fans were expecting an announcement yesterday and they may have to wait a 'little' longer

I guess so. But I cant get my head around that astral travelling until 01.07.14 tweet, surely it can't have been about Liv's video release??? Not dissing Liv's songs at all, the two tracks I have heard are pretty darn good, but the mystic announcement must have been something else or?

I guess we the fans have been hyping it up setting our own expectations but there was also a tweet about London are you ready so it was not unreasonable. It is just that if there is a small venue with 3rdeyegirl in London I do not want to miss it because I cannot follow this teasing endlessly.

"Singer didn't reveal a starting date or venue details at press conference."

- Apollo Theater, Harlem, October 14th, 2010

Apparently, Prince has learned from his mistakes. That's good!

A few years back, he held a press conference to not announce any dates.

Nowadays, he doesn't hold a press conference anymore, to not announce any dates.

A 'little' longer, as in another month (or more?!) of astral traveling...

"but more than likely around the "New Girl" Super Bowl episode which will be on Fox Feb. 2nd, 2014."

It seems unlikely that he'll announce a UK tour on a US TV show on a US station featured around a huge US sports event that the UK doesn't care about.

no it doesn't. it's prince! he will flash a subliminal message that has a web address on new girl and you will have to answer 42 questions and then use a QR reader to scan the answer to take you to another site which will have the tour announcement in black writing against a black background in russian, but with the letters back to front and mirror imaged. then the tour will be cancelled due to lack of interest... by prince, as he's found something else to keep him occupied, like call of duty 9

eek Seriously, you can do that? Many of us have other obligations (work, school, family, sleep, etc.) that don't allow near-constant monitoring for tour announcements.

I've worked a full year with no annual leave, January is my time off from a business which I own, with no family commitments. It takes a matter of seconds to check twitter, or refresh a page these days on mobile phones,

Yeah just seen that. Two of my tutors atn music university who know I'm a massive Prince have both came up to me and said 'Prince is doing a UK tour you know'. I wonder how they know, because there has only been one article that mentions it except for twitter right? They only tutor once a week because they have full time jobs within the music industry so maybe they have some inside info hmmm

I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I think Gee was talking about the fact her being in Britain, rather than the state of her runny nose.

Why all the teasing? If there will be a London show then please just bloody release the details. We've been teased with this 'carrot on the end of the stick' since last August & all the fun is wearing thin. Someone must b getting amusement out of the drip, drip hints but it's certainly not me. Sorry, but starting 2 get fed up waiting on a London show that was promised on 3rdeyegirl's twitter 6 moths ago. No we havent forgotten. If I promised my kids something really, really great & kept them hanging on & on this long, I imagine they'd start to doubt & mistrust me. Investing ur love & energy in being a P fan is exhausting sometimes... hrmph

he needs to do a a proper tour like normal artists. if the money is an issue, so the tickets don't cost too much he should get sponsorship like what beyonce gets with pepsi. so he could have mcdonalds sponsor the tour and the tickets would be cheap and he could play lots of nights at the o2 and have his face on cups and bags and burger boxes and stuff. they could do tie in food like purple rain flamers and give cds away with happy meals. if you bought mcdonalds meals 30 days in a row you could save tokens to get a free ticket to the concert. and prince could dress up like ronald mcdonald and come on stage and sing i'm lovin' it and he would appeal to a new young audience. and if they had chocolate milkshakes at the o2 it would be awesome

Haha im struggling to grasp if that is a serious comment or not, however, i do agree, Chocolate milkshake doesnt get enough exposure, I like chocolate milkshake.

On a serious note though, money wouldnt be an issue, A promoter fronts the money (ie.. AEG) Prince would get a set fee per gig, the promoter sets the ticket prices generally, depending on Prince's fee and their outlay they would then choose what they want to charge to then make their profit, how it would work for a full tour anyway normally.

yeah but with sponsorship the sponsor is just giving money in exchange for advertising which covers the tour costs, so the ticket price can be lower and the costs of the tour will still be covered. and who better than mcdonalds, one of the biggest most well known brands in the entire world to sponsor one of the biggest and most well known musicians on prince.org?
